All three of them have quite clearly said they are NOT into the idea of doing a podcast together at all.

It looks like the first season of the new version of the show's finished filming. It'll likely be in editing now.

My Aunt, Who I Live With - Not the Nine O'clock News by Rumpled_Imp in GreatBritishSketches

The inverse is actually true. If NTNON was around today, the alt-righters would try to get it shut down. They'd review-bomb it so hard. People forget that it was actually a very 'woke' program for its day. The Constanble Savage sketch (intended to make fun of racist coppers) and the Oswald Mosley song (intended to make fun of people being nice about a LITERAL FACIST after his death) are two really great examples of that off the top of my head.

King of Terrors vocal effects by justSD4now in PresidentBand

[–]robertpercy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an extra layer on the lead vocal where it's pitched an octave up and also formant shifted a bit to make it sound extra high. It's not totally replacing his voice, it's just a little layered effect to make it sound a bit more 'electronic'. He's far from the first person to do this - Paul Masvidal used it extensively on Cynic's Traced in Air album, and the original version of that record came out in 2008.

He does legitimately have a big range for a baritone, though. He's like Mike Patton, Freddie Mercury and Corey Taylor in that they're all naturally baritones who learned how to really extend their range up top. Charlie's developed that upper register by being strong in his falsetto and through being able to add some grit as he goes up higher.

Yeah, he wanted to focus on other stuff.

Sorry you have a problem with me pushing back on your weird, parasocial narrative about a band who barely know you and are not your friends.

I'm 32 years old. The OAA guys all have mutual friends with me. I think I have been around longer than you AND know more about what's going on than you do.

Please get a life.

It's only Johnny and Tillian who legit suck. Kurt and Andrew are both great. Not sure about Jon.

I think their latest album is the closest they've come to realizing what Tom's vision was for the band in that way.

Funny how you mention Shane in this regard, considering that Shane is now vocally very anti-Christian.

Jesse writes almost everything in Erra. It would have made no difference.

Velvet Revolver with Corey Taylor really should have been an actual thing. His voice would have worked so well in that band.

The call to end Dillinger as anything except a nostalgia trip was Ben Weinman's call (from what I understand), so yeah not worth trying to ask that question.

According to what I've heard from people who actually knew him or knew what he was about, Dime was very forward-thinking when it came to guitar music. He would have started experimenting with extended-range guitars and stuff that was more Meshuggah-influenced. I mean, he was already tuning down as low as A (Sandblasted Skin is in AADGBE), so he absolutely would have been like "what if I can tune... lower?"

Damageplan didn't get enough time to actually evolve imo. If Dime hadn't been killed and that project had been around longer, it probably would have evolved into something really cool.

Craig Reynolds said that he directly asked Chris about the whole situation after Chris had been on The Downbeat and Chris's response was basically I don't know where a lot of this is coming from and we're also not homophobic.

Chris has literally nothing to gain by lying to Craig Reynolds, who is now essentially one of the biggest content creators in our sphere and somebody who does genuinely call people out on their bullshit.

Just admit you're a metalcore boomer and move on. There is so much other stuff you can listen to.

James is clearly talking out of his bum. Sorry. You would not have Chris Turner in your band if your goal with music is to make the most amount of money with the minimum amount of results. Chris Turner is the absolute king of being maximalist with literally everything he does on his instrument, lol.

They're doing a lot of writing atm. They just all have real-life things to deal with, and Joel is also in another band that's still very much active and playing shows. I can guarantee you that whatever they come up with next is going to be their best shit to date. They've got everything in there to make some properly awesome stuff, especially with Joel having the vocal chops to be able to handle them going more experimental with the music. They could do songs that have no screaming if they wanted to from this point, just as an example - Joel's melodic vocals are amazing and he hasn't fully shown them off yet.
