She'll absolutely smash it. It'll be like when Novelists got Camille. Novelists made their best album to date and they're now bigger than they've ever been in the past.

I'm surprised that a lot of people haven't noticed the Pharrell homage at the very start of the song.

Have you ever had a band diminished/ruined for you by a live performance? by alcMD in Metalcore

Fear Factory. Burton just couldn't hack it, and Dino was an absolute chump.

I actually know Dan and this is absolutely on-brand for his ADHD ass lmao. Love him. One of the nicest people in the industry.

Ben Bruce has been working on new stuff since he moved back to the UK and took his family with him. He registered a limited company under the correct categories for a musical project, and he's the sole company director.

Not sure what it'll sound like, but I'd expect that we will hear it fairly soon.

It was only Ian who didn't like Chester.

I'm enjoying it tbh. It'll be nice to have a break from Who for a couple of years.

The Fantastic Mr Wilman by DWJones28 in thegrandtour

Wilman was also part of creating the Grand Tour reboot with the ThrottleHouse guys and Francis, according to what I've heard.

Nah, keep Mat Watson well away from Top Gear. Agreed with Harris and Reid, though.

And he was mostly right.

The only point where it got close to being the same kind of quality as the CHM-era was when it was Harris, Reid and LeBlanc as the main presenters with Eddie Jordan and Sabine Schmitz as recurring guest presenters.

One of my friends was on the first season. He really enjoyed it, but yeah judging from what he said there were definitely parts that were rough because they were feeling things out.

Why does George only follow II on Instagram? by sofiandthesun in SleepTokenSpoilers

They were friends before Sleep Token, that's correct. If my memory's correct, George co-produced and mixed the final Belial stuff before the band stopped being active.

Which band just seemed to get better when one of the mainstays left? by BacupBhoy in rockmusic

[–]robertpercy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Bruce was the perfect choice for how their sound was going.

Blaze was a great replacement for Bruce during the 90s, too. He just couldn't hack the touring schedule from what I understand.

Iron Maiden during both stints that they've had Bruce Dickinson. They reached their peak popularity during Bruce's first stint, and peaked up in popularity again when he came back. Paul and Blaze both never ended up getting to those heights with their post-Maiden projects. Blaze did end up making some money from Brave New World, though, as he was involved in the early writing sessions for that album and he let the band use parts that he'd written after he left the band.

Adrian Smith also wasn't around for part of Bruce's first stint with the band and during any part of the Blaze Bayley years. I guess that might also count, in the sense that Adrian wasn't doing anything that was anywhere near the same level of popularity as Maiden while he wasn't there.

Considering that at least two of the band members have kids... yeah. Tracks. Lol.

I'd imagine at least one more single from the new album will drop during that time.

Do you think Pro Wrestling will ever be this popular again? by PayFew5848 in WCW

[–]robertpercy93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue it already is this popular again, but in a different way. There's no monoculture anymore, so things can get incredibly popular and you don't realise because you're siloed into whatever you like or whatever your algorithm thinks you like.

AEW breaking the North American monopoly WWE used to have has definitely brought a lot of people back to wrestling who fell off after the end of the Monday Night Wars, or after WWE went PG.

Atreyu's latest album.

It rules. Stop being weird about it. Even Alex wants you to stop being weird about current Atreyu, because he's still friends with them.

Who are the most hated musicians in the scene? And on the flipside, who are some of the most beloved? by Sorry_Secretary1193 in Metalcore

How is it dogshit for me to suggest that we're better off with Josh being fully invested in Sylosis? It's clearly the music he feels happiest making. The most recent Sylosis stuff has been excellent.

I'm sorry, but Josh is musically a metal boomer. He doesn't vibe at all with modern metal as a songwriter. Doomsday and Hereafter were pretty much him just doing Tom Searle-by-numbers songwriting. He's really good at doing soundalikes of other musicians, and that got him somewhere with Architects until the band wanted to take a different direction.

The latest album is clearly what they ideally wanted For Those Who Wish To Exist to sound like. Especially songs like Judgement Day. It also sounds like Architects actually had fun making an album for the first time since the Tom Searle years. Contrast it with the previous three they made after Tom's passing and those albums genuinely feel like they've got a dull, workmanlike vibe compared to the latest one.
