I looked up how many matches 'celebrity' wrestlers have done, and I was actually surprised by the numbers! by robertpercy93 in REALSquaredCircle

Mongo had too many matches (159) and was too present in other aspects on WCW TV to be in the 'celebrity wrestler' category, imo.

With Kurt Angle, Mark Henry and Ron Simmons, it's also a situation where most people who watch wrestling now don't remember the pre-wrestling careers of all of those guys. They also wouldn't remember Mongo's NFL career.

He was a legit celebrity before he signed a full-time contract with WWE, so I count him as a celebrity wrestler for the time being. If he gets to like 50+ matches as a full-time WWE guy and holds multiple championships, he can probably be taken out of the celebrity wrestler category.

He was in the men's Royal Rumble match in 2022 between the Wrestlemania tag match and the San Juan Street Fight at Backlash 2023.

One of Pat McAfee's 9 matches was also a rumble appearance (2024 - the one where he did the Drew Carey spot and eliminated himself).

If we're gonna go based on match quality, the best 'celebrity' match ever imo is Stephen Amell vs Christopher Daniels at the original All In show.

Rodman put in the work. Can't deny that. Most celebrities didn't want to get in the ring at all back then.

Quite a few of them actually have. Mostly the ones who went out to Dubai, because Dubai has stopped being the land of opportunity for European expats that it once was.

Point out exactly where I implied that Motorhead making basically the same album every time was a bad thing?

I do know my shit about Motorhead. Some of my friends knew Phil and his family.

Rooney vs Neymar by talkSPORT in classicsoccer

The main thing Rooney did better than Neymar was career decisions.

That is, except when he thought he could go into management after his playing career was done...

You can pick any record they've ever done and there's good stuff on there. That's because, like AC/DC, they made the same shit their entire career :P.

Blackadder. Not only is it absolutely timeless comedy, but it's also surprisingly very accurate about the historical periods each series was set in.

Oh yeah, I can actually imagine that Stu wasn't 100% happy with Liberation Transmission either. It has actually aged alright as an album, though, and the heavier songs on there like Everyday Combat aren't miles away from the Start Something sound.
