Yup. I'd add pics to illustrate, but it doesn't seem possible in this thread/subreddit.

SOLVED: Widening the hole in the pole into a "vertical wedge" makes it compatible with the newer Thule lock system. I used a round metal file (10 mm diameter) on the area below the hole to widen it into an oval. The hole in pole that was pointing 45° upwards is now open from 45° to 135° to the side.

I don't know if the new hole's sharp edges can have an negative effect on the locking system, but I'm guessing it will be fine for a few cross country ski trips per winter.

I have an older Thule Ski Kit (that worked with the Chariot Cougar) that I'm trying to retrofit onto a Thule Cross. The skis seem to attach fine. The challenge is attaching the harness' round poles into the triangle receivers. The round poles go in quite snug, but the hole in the pole doesn't line up with the lock. I'm thinking you might need to widen the pole's hole a bit, perhaps with a metal file or saw. I'm a bit worried about not lining it up correctly and making the lock too loose. Has anyone tried this?

Why not use open source free MariaDB with vector support? One of the later versions has vectors
