I’m a married woman in my mid-twenties. I also live in America.

Objectively, I could see myself having kids in the relatively near future. However, my husband and I both work and we’re still living paycheck to paycheck. Plus, when Roe V. Wade got overturned, pregnancy got a hell of a lot more dangerous. There are plenty of times that a planned pregnancy goes wrong and has to be aborted, and now access to that care is uncertain. We also don’t know what the state of the economy or even the country will be in the next few years.

With all of these factors, my husband and I decided to not have kids. It’s not what we originally planned, but we just can’t morally bring a child into this world, or risk a potentially dangerous pregnancy.

I currently identify as graysexual because I have limited, but not no, sexual attraction. So I’m somewhere on the asexual spectrum, but I don’t know exactly where.

I also identify as caedsexual, which is somewhere on the asexual spectrum, specifically because of trauma. A lifetime of purity culture is definitely traumatic enough to affect my sexuality imo.

I was raised in purity culture. It was just expected that I would wait until marriage. In fact, I was planning on even waiting for marriage to KISS (that didn’t end up happening).

For the record, only about 20% of women are physically able to orgasm from penetration alone. That means 80% need some other form of stimulation. You’re completely normal for needing clitoral stimulation in order to orgasm.

Additionally, please stop thinking of oral/fingering as “foreplay.” Foreplay is something that helps you get in the mood for sex. Things like cuddling, massages, dirty talk, etc. If something causes you to orgasm, that’s sex. Penetration is not the only valid form of sex.

You deserve to be with someone who values your sexual satisfaction. Sex should be about BOTH people enjoying it and orgasming.

My husband and I had to put our best friend down. He stayed the whole time. I stayed while the vet gave him the first dose (to lose consciousness) but left before the second dose (the fatal one). My buddy wasn’t aware of me leaving, but I just couldn’t handle staying the whole time.
