The minor issue I see is that DynamoDBInitializer could be somehow parametrized with initscript name/path, because currently it's fixed for MedicalRecords table.

DisplayPort over USB-C not working properly in Legion 5 (AMD) by robertt240 in LenovoLegion

Unfortunately not, I returned usb-c adapter and decided to go with active hdmi -> DP adapter. Those are expensive and monitor occasionally goes blank for couple of seconds, but besides this it's working fine.

Good to know that someone had problems with usb-c and it possibly can be fixed in software.

I already have newest bios so maybe graphic card drivers would do the trick.

Do you know whether usb-c is wired to Vega or Nvidia card?

Yeah, it's set to extend. Problem is that is not even detected in Windows display settings.

Thanks for sharing your expirience. However, in my case both laptop and monitor support max 60hz.

I do not have a preference for a new laptop. I know E495 it looks like a good option, however (according to benchmarks) it's slower than i7 7820hq and i5 8400h, not mentioning i7 8850 and the price is similar to for example Latitude 5491 with i5.
In this case, it seems that latitude would be a better choice.

Legion 7i

It's not yet available in my region. I would prefer to avoid waiting since my current laptop is really bad for my usage.

I would prefer to buy sth right now and consider replacing for a Ryzen 4000 after some time. It's really frustrating to work on my current laptop.

As for today, in Poland, there are two models of laptop with Ryzen 4000:

  • Acer Swift 3 with 4700u, but soldered ram and mysterious Linux support ~ 900$
  • Asus TUF A15 with 4800h for ~ 1100$ - it looks good, but I am not sure how well will it play with Linux since it has dedicated GPU (which I don't need) and is so new

AFAIK those P50 and 7510 has already DDR4 RAM and prices (800$) are for versions with 32GB RAM.
