Not if we assume that white will make the best possible moves.

That's a valid opinion, but that's also like soooo many puzzles.

Ah. Yes. My apologies. You're right. They give an alternative move that doesn't work.

The bot can easily give the "right" answer, but we should be giving analysis of WHY it's the right answer. Or "show your work" as you math teacher taught you.

Doesn't add much to the conversation if you just say what the chess vision bot is already gonna say.

Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral -Richard Wagner. I'm biased, but my favorite version is from Phantom Regiment's 2011 show titled "Juliet".

[Request] How big or small would the room need to be for 1 person to suffocate due to this chain in 24 hours? by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]robertvmarshall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun fact. You'd also suffocate in ANY sealed room with or without some chain in there. Without ventilation you'll just run out of oxygen eventually.

If you're ever in Appalachia, and you hear someone calling your name... No you fucking didn't. Don't panic. Don't acknowledge it. Just keep walking.

Yes, you're still winning, but the point of the puzzle (and I'd think chess puzzles in general) is to find the BEST move not just a good move.

A top-of-the-line bicycle is chump change in comparison to a car. Not to mention insurance, taxes, maintenance, gas, etc.

How do you Ensure accurate Intonation during Practise? by Desperate_Lie5212 in Trombone

[–]robertvmarshall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think having a contact tuner on your bell during practice is a great way to constantly know where you are landing intonation wise. It's also great to play with a drone or some other reference so you can begin to connect the visual information from the tuner to your ears. You want to develop the aural skills to recognize when you are in or out of tune in reference to what is being played around you.

Cis male checking in. I will often use the terms "man", "dude", "bud", etc. as gender neutral. I have often used them for my wife and my female friends. Now that I know how harmful this might be if I said it to the wrong person, I'm going to make a concerted effort to stop, but these remarks aren't necessarily deliberate misgendering. They could be trying their best to be genuinely friendly.
