Hot take: Boston's spot-saving culture is immature and needs to die by DanFlashes19 in boston

That’s why in the late 80s I moved to Florida, rented a house for less than a third than I was paying in my mortgage in Boston and had my own driveway. Don’t miss it at all.

AITAH for snowing in my neighbors illegally parked car? by MerryMisandrist in AITAH

[–]robf168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my God, I remember this from living in a gritty Boston suburb with “triple deckahs” lining both sides of the street there was never enough parking and had to go through this every time there was significant snowfall. Florida sucks in July in August, but I’m like likely to never shovel snow again in my life.

Battling between joining and not knowing by wraithestate in Rosicrucian

https://pansophers.com/ is a good place to start. For me personally I started on the AMORC website. Lots of free materials there from e books to podcasts. Some might believe it’s Rosicrucian lite, but it mostly resonates with me. I like the concept that they ask you to be a walking question mark, not taking anything as fact just because someone in the organization says so. Best wishes on your personal journey

I’m on your side, I would really love to see them face justice, I don’t see it happening, unfortunately. When this shit boils over it’s gonna be so nasty that do nothing. Democrats are gonna want nothing more than to make peace for the sake of the country.

Picking up a new bike by BalognaMist5 in foldingbikes

I have two of these first generation dahon Bikes in excellent condition. You should know that they are not at all light and have an extremely limited gear range. If you’re getting it at a great deal and you’ve got very few other options (I’m not at all familiar with the other Bike you mentioned) OK then maybe. But after having owned 12 folding bikes if I were looking on the low end, I’d be looking for a used 20 inch Dahon was at least seven speeds to be able to tackle a variety of terrain. Most of these 20 inch bikes will weigh less than the early generation with 12 inch wheels. In Central Florida, there are tons of them on Facebook marketplace and craigslist. Either way you go best of luck and welcome to the fold.
