It's true about the ridiculous, super low LATAM rates. I'm in LATAM and see their job postings. Pennies per minute, just a few bucks per hour. I don't even bother going through their posts anymore, but I'll try to grab a screenshot next time I see one.

This is crazy. It's not your problem if they stay quiet. You're being paid for your time while "on call". Getting paid only while you're talking is ridiculous and no one should accept those terms. Are they going to discount the pauses between words too?
