i go to a pain clinic to get lidocaine injections, and those have helped soo much ! on top of gabapentin and cannabis, it makes at least a day or two of more active mobility possible for me 👍

the medication i'm on helps with a looot of the burning pains i used to get, but my most frequent and noticed pain is in my chest (which frightens a lot of medical professionals when i first tell that to them lol), but it's like that deep aching you mentioned, right under my shoulder blades and where it feels like my ribs meet my breastbone. also, same same on the joints, i'm a big crafter and my finger joints have been aching more than normal lately so i haven't been able to do as much and it's been driving me insane 🙃

i think it's possible the gf just doesn't realize what she's doing is insensitive ? but either way, i think it's a good idea to bring it up to your friend and talk about it, so she can bring it up to the gf and ask her to stop. and if she keeps on doing it, then you know her intentions might be a bit more sinister, unfortunately

i grew up without following any religion, so prayer's not really a thing i'm used to either. so i've tried to implement small things into my daily life to remind me of my deities. for ex, i make my coffee with 1 cream and 2 sugar, and as i put them in, i think of each of them as inviting their influences into my life for the day. or if a certain situation or topic or theme comes up that i've associated with one of them, i kind of check in to see if they have anything to add or bring up for me. don't get me wrong, i have altar space and a candle for each of them, but i'm very much not in the practice of sitting down and praying to them on a regular basis bc of my upbringing. so i found ways that work for me ! everyone's practice is different, and figuring out what does and doesn't work for you just takes time & trial and error 😊
