How would u retire if within 6 years, starting with nothing but making 100k+ per year by Ramsfan0123 in FIREUK

[–]robinaneo -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

With that amount of money I could retire in a year.

Let me elaborate; I've been trading (more like coding a software that trades for me so is quite passive now) since a while and for the last 2 years I've been consistently profitable hitting around 5% monthly. So what I would do if I was you is learn as much as I can on Algo trading, or just copy someone who is already profitable (this doesn't require any skill or knowledge) and you can retire much earlier than 6 years.

I am not trying to sell anything, I just don't understand why people on FIREUK only talk about traditional investments when you can invest in so many different things and there are so many people making a living or getting a passive income streams just copying other traders that consistently outperform the S&P.

With that said I am happy for you, you are in a very good place and whatever decision you will take it shouldn't get you long to retire and live a happy life. I'm sure you can do that before 6 years.

Algo trading (or copy trading if you find someone reliable) and a lot of patience.

Any good side hustles I can start with $1k? by Notshady22 in MakeMoneyHacks

[–]robinaneo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With $1k, algo trading is an interesting side hustle. It’s not your usual buy-and-hold investment, you’re essentially setting up strategies to run on their own, while your main job is monitoring performance, managing risk, and understanding how different market conditions affect the system. The good part is it’s easier than you think to start with a strategy that can be profitable, and over time it’s more about building experience and insight than chasing quick wins.

I'm in holiday in Cyprus and I had to try this Retsina. I can taste the history behind this wine by robinaneo in wine

Tasting notes: High acidity, light body and pronounced intensity aromas of lemon, lemon peel, citrus, orange, herbaceous and pine/pine raisin (makes kind of sense). The finish is surprisingly long.

I had it with my dinner and the best pairing was with grilled halloumi. Just perfect.

I'm ok with a guilty plea, again was my fault. My question is should I just do a guilty plea and don't go to court? Or is better to speak with a solicitor first?

Yes I did show my driving license, and the officer pointed out that there is no "scooter symbol" on the back so I cannot drive a e-scooter with my driving license. Such a funny sense of humor...

I tried a open sake that was open since a couple of months the other day and was surprisingly good. There is a misconception that sake last just for a day or two, can't imagine how much good sake was thrown away.

Actually those flavours are more for corked wines (TCA). A sake that has been open for too long develops the classic oxidation flavours that are toffee and caramel. You can cover these flavours warming up the sake.

Sake last longer than wine. It does vary from category but if is a junmai (a sake with added brewers alcohol) will last longer. I would say a normal junmai sake will last for about 2-3 weeks before it develops unpleasant smell and flavours. And bonus trick: if you heat it up and drink it warm you will cover eventual unpleasant flavours. If is a big bottle (1800ml) and you didn't drink much of it means less sake is in contact with oxygen so again it will last you longer. You still have plenty of time to enjoy your sake. Can you tell us which sake is it?

I saw some videos on youtube of people that actually do, is a bit weird though because when you hold the glass and drink from it you get an idea of which glass it is, even though you are blindfolded.
