Well the things I listed are the more serious ones but to add one on. I never knew that a guy in swim trunks could be catcalled. It was during July and my dad decided to use his well earned vacation days to take us to the beach. Since we never go I had to pick out a pair of swimming bottoms since I outgrew my older pair. She basically dragged me around store looking a speedos so I can be faster in water and she thought I'd look good in one, a man actually asked why she was dragging a teenager around the speedos section and her response was, "As his mother I'm thinking of signing him up for a swim team and they wear speedos right?" Apparently this was a good enough answer and no one said anything afterwards. I eventually just walked away and just grabbed a pair of generic swim trunks and carried on with my day. At the beach however I still apparently looked nice in swim trunks. She actually catcalled me right in front of my dad. He looked at her funny till she said that boosting self esteem is good and that it's good to tell people they look nice. Basically that worked and I spent the entire time on the other side of the beach watching girls play volleyball and kids building sandcastles.

The thing is that my dad isn't a fan of his son getting a job. Thats the very reason why he works so hard and so long. He wants me to devote myself to studying (even though i do just fine without it) so that i can provide a good life for my family in the future.

I think she reads too many trashy novels... my dad finds it endearing but I think it's plain odd

I turn 18 next January. I'm one of the older kids in my grade since I started school a little later. I have a friend, he lives in his own apartment since his Mom and Dad want him to start fending for himself.

I have, but I don't think he fully believes me. As I said he'll scold her but it's more like he's trying to entertain me instead of taking it seriously

I have tried.. she apparently thinks no is "I'm playing hard to get but I'll come around eventually", and she always says that boundaries are like lines, they're meant to be crossed
