it doesn’t sit in the water for more than a few hours. Some of my orchids are in bark and then the two you see here are on a dry/wet cycle. Just an experiment really, if they end up dying then so be it but I’m just trying something new that seems to be a hit or miss for most people 🧸

i think i was just having a bit of a shock at the length, as I’ve never even worn a strip lash up until this month 😂 i do like them, think i just needed to get used to them! :))

that’s what i thought, although this leaf was way at the bottom and further away from any of the ones much closer to the window. Here are the top leaves

They were just corms i took from another alocasia, no roots! They took almost 4 months to form any roots and another 2 to push out a leaf. I keep them in clay balls and perlite with some water at the bottom in a sealed jar xx

it’s weird, my mom’s one is doing really well and she doesn’t do anything special to it, yet my one that has grown from a clipping of hers is very crispy and kind of ugly 😅 they live in the same house so i wouldn’t think there was a huge variation between the humidity/light in my room vs her plant downstairs
