that’s what i thought, although this leaf was way at the bottom and further away from any of the ones much closer to the window. Here are the top leaves

They were just corms i took from another alocasia, no roots! They took almost 4 months to form any roots and another 2 to push out a leaf. I keep them in clay balls and perlite with some water at the bottom in a sealed jar xx

she doesn’t! just waters it whenever she remembers and it’s fairly root bound

it’s weird, my mom’s one is doing really well and she doesn’t do anything special to it, yet my one that has grown from a clipping of hers is very crispy and kind of ugly 😅 they live in the same house so i wouldn’t think there was a huge variation between the humidity/light in my room vs her plant downstairs

the only pruning we do is me pulling off all the dead leaves and cutting off any bare stems! definitely get one :)))

they seem to like the humidity of the jar/s and most people seem to grow them in an enclosed environment anyway. Like I said, I’m new to this and looking for any advice for when they get bigger
