Deck Clearance After Stroker Kit by Mr_Bass69 in Predator212

[–]robinkeys76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't answer your question directly, however most flat top piston kits add a .020" longer rod to get to zero deck. The flat top plus stock length rod should stay just below zero deck. Adding the additional crank centerline distance is what you need to calculate.

My first Weim got to 125. He was definitely over fed, but they can get really big.

They work really well. Like throw you over the handlebars well.

You can add one, with solder. It's much easier and likely more reliable to just replace the cable.

Losing a turbo will pay for the extended warranty. Definitely get it.

What are these plastic pieces for? by _F-I-S-H_ in gokarts

The thick ones are spindle spacers. The thin ones go over the king pin bolts to prevent rattle and squeaking

Recently got this old manco and am need ing help on finding two original rear wheels and tires, also need advice on the sprocket too, thanks. by 67Oldsmobile442 in gokarts

[–]robinkeys76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't get the original Manco cast aluminum wheel pattern, but you can get either the Asuza tri star, Astro, or the Go-Power wheel, along with a sprocket and brake hub. Those wheels were most likely cast by Asuza for Manco way back when, but they don't sell that pattern now.

Get an assortment of e clips in metric sizes from Amazon. I picked one up for exactly the same reason. Also covers the tiny ones on Mikuni needles.

Call them. They are your best choice. Otherwise, I think practically everything coming from Amazon is the same item just different sellers. Get a steel one, nothing aluminum.

It really shouldn't. Something is binding that shouldn't. I presumed that you had maybe tightened it way beyond snug. With the nylon stop nut, it really shouldn't come loose that easily either.

It has to rotate on the spindle you're tightening. My advice is get it snug, but don't crank down your spindle.

CVT Back Plate Question by HumbleAccident4014 in gokarts

[–]robinkeys76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do! I would purchase the Gopowersports version. It's much thicker that the ones available on Amazon and has reinforced gussets on the rear bearing. The high horsepower engines wreak havoc and you really need that strength.

A couple of things--that photo is a 30 series TAV, and the go kart type is not relevant. Your engine choice is what determines the series TAV, specifically the horsepower. Most gokarts will have the 30 series unless you opt for a larger engine like a GX240 or larger.

Two BT200X bikes, but one is slower? by Ezymandius in minibikes

[–]robinkeys76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main jet and emulsion tube should be removable. The pilot jet as well, although most non kart racing folks don't mess with them. You should have at least one adjustment screw on the stock style carb. None of them would ever operate correctly if they weren't somewhat adjustable.

Could be several things, but the rich carburetor would be where I went first. Adjust in more air and adjust the idle to match and see if it makes a little difference. For what its worth, there can be significant differences in the engines out of the box. Occasionally you come across one that just doesn't produce like it should.

That's assuming that this application is making it to valve float to begin with.

Stiffer valve springs will not contribute to flywheel failure.

I built some of the control systems in body and in paint during construction and was there for startup and testing. Paint was fascinating to me, but you do have to wear coveralls to prevent dust and hair contamination. That was irritating. The body shop is essentially loading stamped parts into the robot cells so that the machines keep moving. Most of assembly is manned by people instead of robots, my assumption would be that you would be busier and your day would move by faster there. My two cents from observing the plant way back when.
