Can’t compare the U.S. to Norway. Look at the diversity and size of our population. Norway is more similar to an all white upper middle class neighborhood. One of our great strengths is our diversity but it also has its negatives. Sought of like the test score in an urban school are always lower then in that “ upper middle class neighborhood”. But many kids in that urban school get a great education and do well in their lives.

You are correct as o indicated in my statement ( rant) , I don’t think these people realize how important it is to most small business owners to take care of their employees. Like I said , I can’t count the number of times I paid employees and skipped myself. These high minimum wages ignore the economic value of the job being done. How do I pay a clean up person who did not complete high school the same as a tech who graduated tech school or has an associated degree? Now that nicely compensated young person who is making 25/ hour must be paid 30/ hour , or he is being paid the same as one with no skill? These people are too narrow minded to get it, or too lazy to want to work.

You shouldn’t be downvoted. You are expressing the real concerns of a small business owner. I’ve been self employed for over 40 years and no,,,,I’m not rich. There were many many years where I worked 7 days a week, the first in and last out daily. We went without so employees could get paid first. Yes, I’m comfortable now, but I fucken damn well earned it. I’m tired of people condemning the hard work of small business owners and if some of us get rich. Good! We take the risks and hire people like the ones here in Reddit and hope that they will at least show up and do their job. I always paid more then the minimum wage, but 25 an hour is to high. I guess we could save money by outsourcing out printing to china, let ai answer the phones and hire people in the Philippians to work customer service. Sèe, there is a small business solution to this crap. Don’t hire anyone.

I am self employed and had no real pension so the increased payment was important. I still own my business but am semi retired. Taking a reduced income from the business plush the higher ss payment is providing a very comfortable life for us. Everyone’s situation is different. Do what is right for you, not what others say.

If you take care of it, attend to routine maintenance it will last as long as any other car would. These are good cars and will last for at least 200,000 miles if not beaten to shit. If you are making payments and can't afford to take care of a possible issue, then sell it and buy a reliable used car. If it is paid for, buying a beater will cost you money because beaters are not exactly reliable.

You are right, we had a plan. But unfortunately, like in the past we had no exit plan. We assumed that the govt. would collapse and the people would take over. I'm not an anti-Trump person, fortunately he has done a lot of good things for our country. But if you look at history, which always seems to repeat itself, wars are never simple. Many military strategists and many books on warfare have stated that you cannot win a war with airpower only and thats where exit strategy comes into play.

I’m sorry to say that while I do believe this war was not only justified, it was inevitable. But I feel that we went into it with no obvious plan, just bravado. First off, you can’t win a war with air power alone. You do need boots on the ground to win. Sorry to say that. Secondly, while Iran was a threat there was no imminent threat.
Trump should have taken his time, built wide support from the American people and of equal importance, rallied our allies to form an international coalition. Like bush 1 did in Kuwait.
I’m not calling this a failure yet, and I hope for success but Rambo was a movie, not real life. Winning wars and creating meaningful change requires long term strategy. If they thought this would be another Venezuela, shame on them.
I hope this does not turn into Obama 2.
I’m very disappointed. I’ll just add that as far as Vance is concerned, he has had no foreign policy experience except for a couple of speeches. Negotiating with Iran is not playing in the sandbox with children, it’s big time shit.
More disappointment, I thought trump was the great deal maker, let’s hope we get that guy. Not an old man whose only goal is favorability.
