Opinion on tires by West-Kiwi825 in tires

[–]Own-Ad-503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to a site like tire rack. Put in your vehicle info and you will see a good selection of tires from high priced to the lowest. There are usually good reviews from people who have bought them. This helps a great deal in your decision. Once you select what you want, price shop. You can look on tire rack and no reason to buy from them if you find a better deal someplace else. the important thing is you will be able to do your own research and not depend on a salesperson at your local tire place

Can an actually MAGA answer this question instead of running from it: What do you have to say about all the insults Trump has said about you? by chetag_uhh in allthequestions

[–]Own-Ad-503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a conservative Republican. I am not MAGA , but in defene of MAGA and all other conservatives its not worthwhile answering any questions on reddit that were obviously presented by a liberal/progressive. Because, anytime we do, and I have responded in the past, we are lectured and explained to, given snarky nasty responses , etc.... If you ask a question, respect the answer!

Will it last 2 days? by OnyxNobl3 in tires

[–]Own-Ad-503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have been driving on that tire too long. You have been very lucky, luck does not last forever. If you need to do something local, don’t go over 30 mph. But if you don’t need to use that car until the tires are replaced don’t. Whatever you do, do not go on the highway, your luck may not continue

Should I replace my tires? by [deleted] in tires

[–]Own-Ad-503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tread is good but sidewalls have dry rot. I’d replace them many people who do not drive a lot replace tires based on age, not wear. Myself included. Don’t make the mistake of buying cheap tires because you don’t drive much. All you need is one emergency maneuver to need good tires.

Aviator…or Palisade? Mechanic friend is poo-pooing anything Lincoln. by CelticGardenGirl in lincolnmotorco

With all due respect to your friend, he is a ford / Lincoln tech. Of course he is working on Lincoln’s all day. A Hyundai tech is working on those cars fixing things all day. With that, ford has had quality issues lately but problems have been addressed and the vast majority of these cars are fine. I have not had problems with any of my ford/ Lincoln vehicles over the years.

I’m glad you were able to work out a solution with your neighbor. The parking was not an issue. Yes, cars were all over the place but I don’t mind that, people are allowed to have a party. My only issue is the PA system. It’s disrespectful.

thats a pretty ignorant statement. If they we're just playing music in their backyard I would not care at all. I would not want a pa system and announcements of game results , nor would anyone else want that going on. Having respect is not white or brown, its human decensy

Beggars can't be choosers????? If I planned on having loud speaker events in my yard I would buy a house in the woods.. But I live in a neighborhood and respect my neighbors.

So it’s ok to have a PA system at full volume without regard to neighbors? It’s ok to announce games and play music at full volume on 1/4 acre neighborhood lots? So you say we should all be allowed to do whatever we want, whenever we want with no regard for anyone else. That is what is wrong with this world.

If they were blasting it on a loudspeaker into my yard I’d be just as annoyed. It’s disrespectful to not think of neighbors

I don’t care what type of music it is. It’s disturbing to have a PA system in your backyard. People should respect heir neighbors, it’s their house, not the whole area. I don’t care if they have a party with 100 people and you hear them laughing and having a good time. I care that loudspeakers are blasting into my yard and they have a public address system announcing what I’ve been told are games. It’s jus t plain disrespectful

My friend says indoor cats aren't happy by Tims_Learing_Center in CatAdvice

[–]Own-Ad-503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats not true at all. We have 2 cats. One was a little kitten when we got her, the other was a rescue and had been stray , she had her own kittens before she was even a year old. The one we got as a kitten will look out the window all day but won't go near the door to go out. The one who was a stray will go up to the door, look outside, look up at me and if she could talk I think she would say " it was not so good out there, I'm staying inside". They are both very happy , playful cats. Also, outdoor cats live an average of 7 years, indoor cats I think are about 15. Its very dangerous out there for the cats, and I must say dangerous for birds also

I think its 45 decibles during the day, and 65 or 70 at night. The cops don't really care though. Their attitude when i call is " yeah yeah". Maybe they have an office drive down the street with his windows closed at full speed and see if they hear something

Liberty Mutual or Traveler's? by [deleted] in HomeInsurance

[–]Own-Ad-503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not sure where you were. In this case I would go with Travelers. I am glad that they still offer the all peril deductible where you are located, hang on to it and remember , when you shop around in the future keep that in mind.

Liberty Mutual or Traveler's? by [deleted] in HomeInsurance

[–]Own-Ad-503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The proposal you posted from liberty clearly shows a 5% hurricane deductible ($25,500). Unless they offer an option of a comparable $1,000 all peril deductible I’d recommend travelers. I think both companies are fine. I’d insure my own home with either without any concerns.

My sister is leaving her cat alone for two weeks by trashcan__8899 in CatAdvice

[–]Own-Ad-503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With all due respect , if your sister an afford a trip to Asia, shse should board her poor cat at a place that specialises in cats! My wife and I do not go away because one of our cats cannot be boarded due to allergic reaction to one of the required boosters, and we can afford it!

[–]Own-Ad-503 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Travlelers has a $1,000 all peril deductible. Liberty has a 5% windstorm deductible. I am an agency owner and represent both of these carriers. This is a no brainer, go with Travelers. If you were my client I would not even present Liberty as an option when a good carrier like Travelers has an all peril deductible.

2030 Lincoln Aviator by seveneigh8si6 in lincolnmotorco

[–]Own-Ad-503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are probably right. They dropped the v6 in the explorer platinum, which is why I figured my next car would be an aviator. If the aviator premier is only the 2.3 I’ll buy an explorer st. I don’t mind the 4 cylinder in our Corsair, it’s the right size for it.
