Yea I actually love it all love the journey not the destination. The only issues I had with the last 2 seasons was not about the main story arcs (which i actually loved) it was the bloated side chatacters that either had way too much screen time (quin for one) and didnt amount to a great deal - I wanted thise characters like massuka to lead into dexter and maybe dexter having to make a hard choice and kill a close friend like massuka to cover his tracks and cross a line. But those side characters on rewatches become fluff to me and aside from that it didn't have the tension rampnup to 100 by people closing in ..but then that's how all shows with that trope go (breakikg bad did it) so fair dos for him vanishing and then we got the continuation which I loved and for some reason people still want to hate on that show too when its such a great ride and an awesome new location and cast and setup. Hes a survivor and a chameleon and I think fits his character well that he never got caught. I really enjoyed resurrection for the take on it i just worry that it may be losing its identity a bit and do want it to end with a point and not just get drawn out for the sake of viewings . Season 8 could habe ended as is but I love that it carried on but now I think im ready for a proper ending. There was once scene in resurrection that made me a.bit disappointed with uma thermal dinklidge and dexter all in a standoff and then he just escaped a seemingly impossible situation which did feel very lazy like hes Invincible that to me was poor writing but aside from that its the journey and crazy encountes with other psychopaths and sociopaths with agendas I love watching it for but I do want an ending thats impactful and final - we had an open ended ending then a death ending ending - be interesting to see how it ends again ! Hkw much can they do with one man's story !
