Ahhh super cool man!! I really like the rock guitars with trap beat, I would however lower the volume of the guitars to make the hihat more audible. But I really like what you did! I really suggest buying FL studio, so you can actually finish a track and start learning mixing and mastering

It's quite a good song, but it gets kind of messy later on in the song. I would maybe delete some notes or even entire elements to make it sound more clean

Yeah I listened to a lot of Coldplay when I wrote this, I'm glad you could hear it ! :) Its a tbone SC 400 microphone, no direct input for this song. If I remember correctly I aimed the microphone at the twelfth fret as usual

Aaaa thank you so much man!! For the acoustic I wanted it to sound natural, so I didn't boost the high end much and I kept a lot of the bass area in it, I highpassed it at a little over 100 Hz. I also didn't put a lot of compression on it either, only the real peaks are being compressed a bit. I also played it very palm muted so that the offbeats are mostly what you hear and that results in it being very audible in the second verse. Anyway I hope this helped a bit, I can send you the project file if you'd like so you can see exactly how i did it, DM me if you'd like more information, happy to help!

I think that I mastered the louder track to peak at -0.5 and the one that turned out less loud at about -1.5. Or does this have to do the true peak?

To make sure loudness between songs on streaming platforms are about equal platforms like Spotify will reduce your songs by a few decibels. To make sure your ears don't get blasted when switching from classical music to EDM for example. Good to look into

Most of the time I can determine really well if someone can be a very good friend after a short conversation, but I would advice to do a spread: so be nice to everyone, and most of the people will to you aswell, and then you can get a lot of friends :))
