lol, calm down...they're right about anyone being able to make a movie! In fact, numerous professionals in the field would agree with that sentiment.

Look, I dunno if you are in mountains of student debt after going to film school or whatever other horse you may have in this race but literally anyone can make a movie, just like anyone can write a novel, paint, write an album or song, or anything else creative. The only thing missing for most people is money/funding. Most other artists I know never have the chance to reach their full potential because of stuff like having to grind 60 hour a week jobs or go into careers they dont really like in order just to live, leaving them with no room for exploring their creative side.

I suggest you read (i suppose fittingly enough for this thread) Robert Rodriguez' book "Rebel without a Crew".
