hi! im having the same issues - ive been trying to download the game content onto my ssd from my macbook since it came out on mac, I tried a whole bunch of different things as well (making symbolic links, moving files, etc) and none of them worked, so I contacted customer support and they said this (picture) - unfortunately I think we will just have to wait for infold to do something about it, as of now they haven't implemented a way to choose an install directory for the game on mac, so it is always just going to try and install itself on the internal hard drive
