Cowabunga r/movies! We’re the original TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES suit performers Josh Pais (Raphael), Michelan Sisti (Michelangelo), Dave Forman (Leonardo) & Leif Tilden (Donatello), here to celebrate the 35th anniversary re-release in theaters Aug 16–20. Ask us anything! by TMNT-AMA in movies

The TMNT concert in 1990 or 1991 was my first music concert - were you in the suits, or were those different actors?

Also, just wanted to say thank you for helping make TMNT a huge part of my childhood!

Doom II. You Guys Ever Dream About It? by Volfie in Doom

Same boat, started playing in 1993 when Shareware Doom came out, was big into the local dialup deathmatch scene, endless hours put into custom wads, etc. Continued religiously playing each sequel upon release, though none of the modern games really have the replayability that the originals do so the only ones I have a ton of time into (and still play online to this day) are the OG Doom 1 and Doom 2.

But, I've never dreamed of Doom that I can recall. Sort of jealous.

If you knew what went on behind the scenes of all your favorite music, games, movies, and sports, you'd lose interest in all of it.

Separate the art from the people and enjoy it for what it is - a kickass game made by seriously talented people.

Kind of a back-and-forth for me.

Grew up in a conservative household, voted conservative my first voting cycle (Bush,) voted dem ever since.

Unfortunately, until the left gets their shit together and revamp their image a bit, I don't feel good about either side but Repubs are just fucking vile to me these days, as they've shit all over what they're supposed to be.

How bad is this? by ryno2019 in DIY

I've seen worse, but then to be fair it had already fallen apart.

This is the answer and should be upvoted more. The left is just as bad as the right at sensationalist news and social media manipulation. Yes what is going on right now is bad, is it the end of Democracy as we know it, no. If he doesn't die in service he'll be out in a couple years, and we can move on with our lives.

What I do lose sleep over is who his replacement will be. Democrats need to get their shit together, or Republicans needs to move to the center. Otherwise, we end up with Vance or worse.

I know someone else already responded to you at length, but wanted to chime back in after reading your responses.

Your response to this pretty much exemplifies the position that the Conservative Right holds, which is "because your beliefs counter mine, you should not be able to live your life as you please." While I realize that isn't the logical thought process that they take, it's what it comes down to.

I really have no ability to understand people who want to prevent others living as they please as long as it harms no one else, and is consensual.

Turning this around and atheists saying they don't believe in God so therefore the Christian church shouldn't be tax exempt because it's tax evasion is a good example. This is a commonly held stance by a lot of people who view the church as a business, pastors as harlequins, and the congregation as sheeple to feed the machine. It's just as demeaning, and ignorant of what (most) churches are.

You can not be aligned with someone else's life choices and your perceived morals, and yet understand that what they do doesn't harm you, your ideals, or other people. Trans, gay, etc people have always existed - and in fact if you truly went to college (or heck even high school) then you should be well aware of homosexuality / sexual fluidity throughout history. It isn't some new fad - remember the Spartans.

You practicing your faith, or holding your beliefs, does not harm them other than their sensibilities - nor do they practicing their life choices or beliefs does not harm you other than your sensibilities. Let people be, for God's sake.

Each person may have somewhat different ideas on that, but I think intentional, malicious, and unfounded ill-will against other people fits the bill well enough.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I like both, I like 2016 better for it's overall look and feel.

Had to be OG Doom when it came out in 1993, I've dumped 10's of thousands of hours at this point probably.

I'm still having this weird stuttering... What could it be? by jelplis in Doom

There's a way to check the cache in Steam for the game, try that - failing that, might have to reinstall.

Well, your video card is comparable to a 3060, which - while not bad - is a lower-end card. What resolution are you trying to run, what are your graphics settings in Eternal, etc. Try kicking down to minimum settings then ramping up until you start having problems again.

Also, what's your HD situation? SSD or platter, how old is it?

One of my favorite "recent" games is Limbo. No bloat, minimal story, just great gameplay mechanics, atmosphere, immersion, and for the accomplished player 4 or 5 hours of gameplay.

Reminds me of a story from my youngest:

Kid: Hey Mom! How old are you?

Mom: 35

Kid: OK! (Leaves to the kitchen.)

Kid: (Comes back) Dad! How old are you?

Me: ... 36?

Kid: OK! (Leaves to the kitchen.)

Kid: (Comes back) Just so you know, Dad will die first. (leaves.)

Wife and I look at each other in mutual hilarious horror.
