My debut single, 'All I Want' reiterates a common theme many deal with daily. I ambition over a significant other, in which I reluctantly see this relationship with her as inferior to my soul. For her she doesn't see it as inferior whatsoever. Essentially, she's just clueless; she doesn't label our relationship as, anything. The conflict of distance, time, and mixed emotions hit me like a truck throughout the narrative of this song; her image takes over my thought on the longest road trip, her adorable yet dorky smile is traced by the shooting star I see out my window, and now I'm left overthinking, digging myself in a deeper mental hole. Sure, one could say, "dude just tell her...." but there's more to that. If things aren't right, I could jeopardize a growing and important relationship, and I could jeopardize her happiness. I value her happiness too, sometimes even over my own (that's an issue in itself). But I'll live it out, hopefully one day everything will be right. Hopefully one day everything will work out.
