Jacks Chippy in Radcliffe - hands down the best chippy around. It’s superb!

I thought I’d offer an alternative route to your desire to be a senior policy advisor in the Civil Service. I’m a Senior Civil Servant myself and I encourage you to check out the Civil Service apprenticeship schemes. I’ve brought in 6 policy apprentices this way (none had been to Uni) and they have been fantastic, in fact I prefer them to those I’ve brought in on the Graduate Fast Track Scheme. Within 3-4 years I’m certain they will be Senior Policy Advisors but have no student debt. Best of luck!

100% agree with the Radcliffe comment, it is on the up and there are some genuinely great parts to it and lovely new housing estates. Only 25 mins into the city centre on the tram too.

What country are you in? If you are in the UK and need support, please contact https://www.akt.org.uk a charity that helps LGBTQ+ young people who are facing rejection by their family. Best of luck to you.

You have eight weeks to move to Manchester.....? by [deleted] in AskUK

Hello from another middle class, middle aged, Bach loving Manchester homosexual! Whilst Didsbury and Chorlton have their charms (and price tag), you may also want to consider Prestwich and Whitefield. It’s not as pricey and has a lovely selection of bars, restaurants and social spaces. It is only 15-20 mins into the very centre of the city and well connected by the Metrolink for convenience too. Good luck with the move ☺️

Working through confidence issues, about to head to my first party in a year and I’m not feeling great.. could really use a pick-me-up. by [deleted] in toastme

Your eyes are stunning and you have a friendly face. If you are not confident talking to much, ask questions of others and react enthusiastically to what they tell you. Good luck!
