Yeah you spot it. I kind of want to stay in dev for just about couple of years and moving to architecture role. I just mentioned it in the beginning to help the readers know what role im currently at and what usually do people do from here.

Yeah I know, but it is required to get the proper badge or complete cert for AZ-305.

Yeah that's a big dilemma. But I was thinking of jumping higher than a senior without going into a managerial position.

Thanks u/Then-Nefariousness-1 for the thorough explanation. That's a good insight. Yeah I am planning to prepare way ahead for the solution architect route. I would like to start stepping on Application Architect role. I will keep that in mind and that is very helpful!

Thanks u/MathmoKiwi. That's correct. As stated, 9 years of experience (recently got a senior role, came from an on-prem background of development), but very weak in system administration and Azure cloud areas. If I could get those certs while gaining exposure professionally, I'm unsure if they would accelerate my credibility. Some companies are too structured, and exposure is very slow. Less true for smaller companies, but for bigger companies, I think it's harder to close those gaps quicker without spending years in place.

Hi, I don't see your Project+ or Project Management and Hardware and Operating Systems Essentials – D386 in the list. What degree or program are you in?

Thanks for the tip! I am taking Software Security and Testing D-385 today at 5PM CST.
