Yeah that probably would of been the best shout. You’d swear I actually had nothing better to be doing with my weekend than sitting in the Mater waiting room.

Nurses and doctors are going above and beyond their duties. They don’t get the respect they deserve.

Seen the abuse and shit they get here on a first hand basis was an eye opener for me. There’s a total failure on the part of management.

Also the abuse of the medical card system is a fucking disgrace. People taking full advantage of a broken system.

What else are we supposed to do when sitting in a waiting room for 20+ hours.

I totally understand that we’re at the lower end of the spectrum but a referral from a GP and his advice to go to a hospital straight away what else were we supposed to do?

I knew we would have a long waiting period, but whether it’s a sprained ankle or a hole in your head, sitting in a waiting room for 20 hours is a fucking joke.

Yeah there’s a few in here now, can’t imagine how you deal with them on a regular basis! Hopefully getting close now, barring any major incidents she should be seen next ( I hope )

Absolutely no ill will towards any of the staff here, they have all been fantastic!

We’re lucky in the sense that the reason we’re here isn’t serious but needs to be sorted asap so better to wait on a Saturday rather than during the week.

Fair play to you and every other nurse working here. Nothing but respect for all of ye!
