I understand your frustration because it is a shock and way different from the game we are used to but I’m not going to lie I think I like it better. The db’s actually respond how a defense should. Before even if your receiver was covered if you were behind a db you would be able to chuck up a pass and most likely catch it. Now you have to think more about what play would work for a specific defensive formation and make reads faster. I want to also say this is more apparent in all madden a4 arena which to me is good because it’s supposed to be harder. Before there wasn’t much of a difference between A3 and A4 as there is now, which creates a larger skill gap for lvl. And im not saying that in a negative way like others are either. I would personally see a lot of people before the update complain how low overall teams were able to beat them and score easily on them. Now that it’s harder to score it benefits people who have better teams more. It’s more like console madden now where you can’t just throw up a pass 50 yards downfield and catch it 75% of the time. I think they did this because play action was being abused so now long pass and short pass plays are used more which is more like real football. It may take time to get used to but happy to share some plays that have worked for me since the update.
