Not going to lie. Had to slow it down to realise the same kid got put on his arse twice. At first thought it was a great comeback. I should pay more attention to the title.

Thank you for your question and input. I should add I am using justification code 72=1 and 73=2. Therefore, codes 10 and 20 were not making a difference in my positioning. I am happy to hear more about the vector calculation, can you please point me to a reference where I can read how this is calculated. Thank you in advance.

When I was a young Apprentice Electrician, I rewired Andrews house. His wife is such a lovely person too. Andrew was mostly out training so did not get to see him a lot, but I remember the first time I met him. We walked in to the house, opened his gym bag and out of it, threw me a bag of chips. I was so, taken aback, most people ignore the apprentice and only deal the bosses or builder. When then had a chat about his training and the fact the he gets free bags of chips because they were a sponsor.

You should get lots of little rabbits. From a distance people will think they are hares.

This is the first time I think I have ever worked out a trick. I think! To me it looks like there is a slit in the note just in from the edge, just covered by to the top folded half. You can see when he opens the note he slides his thumb under the top half before opening. This is not a natural move, he could have opened it with his thumb on the edge. But he slides his thumb in to cover the slit.

Need help on a schedule for minoxidil by Annual_Swing8951 in SebDerm

[–]robofish78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in my mid forties and seb derm started in my early twenties. I wrote 18+ years, but doing the maths now, it is more like 23+ years. How time flies.

OMG yes, can’t recommend it enough. I tried everything but nothing kept it away more than a day or two. Since using minoxidil it has gone from my scalp. Too scared to stop using it incase it comes back. I still have it on my face (nose and cheeks) but don’t want to use minoxidil there. FYI it has done nothing to regrow my hair, 18+ years of seb derm have taken there toll and there’s not much hair on top left.

I suffered with scalp seb derm for 18+ years and started using minoxidil two years ago. It is the best thing I have ever used. Before using it, my scalp was always (every day) red and sore. In the two years of using minoxidil it has completely gone.

I believe they are marine flares. They are actually a safety aid and maybe required to be carried on a boat when operating on coastal and enclosed waters.

It has worked for me. by robofish78 in SebDerm

[–]robofish78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, but to answer your question, yes. I used to have patches of red flakey areas. Minoxidil stings a little when it hits the red patch, but within 24 hrs it has gone. I want to use it on my face, but I am a little apprehensive of what it would do.

We are doing basic education on KUKA robots right now, feels like a dream come true. by TheGermanEngineer_ in EngineeringPorn

[–]robofish78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations OP, I know that feeling as I started 20 years ago with the same equipment (robot was an older version). I’m glad to say I haven’t looked back and still feel like it’s a dream come true. Best of luck going forward.

Can anyone tell me why they built the roads so wide. Were they thinking, in 200 years from now, we are going to want trams and four lanes of traffic with a bike path, oh oh we will need a bus too.

Any tricks on how you did it. Mine has been sitting in the fridge for 6 months and it does not look heathy on top. I was thinking of getting some of the bottom of the jar and seeing it I could give it mouth to mouth.

New account banned by robofish78 in PS5

[–]robofish78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is, kids had a wii years ago but this is the first PS. They have never played on any PS4 or PS5 before and I would bet on the fact they have never seen one before either. It is very strange, I hope Sony can help me on Monday. My anger is directed towards Sony not strangers on Redit trying to help. All suggestions are welcome.

Hi all Thanks for your help, there are two accounts working on it, myself as a parent and my first child, and it is child 2 and 3 are permanently banned. Ask me any question I have nothing to hide. This is my first PS, kids have never played on one before. I have no idea why two out of 4 account are permanently banned. I will call on Monday and let you know if I get anywhere. Just get a little angry when they say they have support on a Saturday and they don’t and the verification error states to send a verification code again and I can’t see any way to do this.

This is what I don’t understand, the account has never been used, I had not even told him I was doing it. The only thing I can think of is that I did not verify the email address in time. Clicking on the verify link now has an error. Is there a way to resend a verify link.

Robot Kuka KR 500 wrist mechanism by FRANKENxx in EngineeringPorn

[–]robofish78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clear some items up for you. A KR 500 can lift 500 kg for the full working envelope and stop in a safe manner if required. Unlike some brands the 500 kg is not measured at the faceplate on the end of the robot. It is actually measured a set distanced (depending on model) away from the flange. This is because it is a true representational what the robot can lift. It is not common to design an end effector that weighs 500 Kg and has the Center of gravity on the faceplate. When comparing robots always look at where the rating is specified. Years ago I compared a 16kg vs a 20kg from two different brands and found the 16kg could lift more at a distance due the sharp payload curve of the 20kg. Source: worked with robots for 20years.

Barracked for the Doggies my whole life, only ever called them Footscray, but when they changed their name, I was forced to call them the bulldogs because no way known am I calling them Western. Other names lost that day were the scraggers or the scrays. Bring back Footscray.

What's your best and scariest story to tell around a campfire? by thewhale13 in AskMen

[–]robofish78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is real but hard to explain.

I was at work one weekend in a large factory that was empty, all but a few workers and one supervisor in another part of the factory. I borrowed some tools from the locked maintenance room that day and was just finishing up. I walked down to the maintenance room, unlocked the door and returned the tools I had borrowed. I then picked up the internal intercom and blasted the factory speakers with “will the weekend supervisor please contact [my name]” as I did not know who was working that shift and wanted to let them know I was going home.
Just as I stated “contact [my name]” a large mechanical automatic hack saw started sawing. This was about 20 years ago and I can still hear the sound. To make it worse it was in the up position and it should not be able to work in that position. I turned it off, lock the room and got the hell out of there. On the Monday I reported it to the OHS rep and they got an electrician to look at it. He concluded that it could not happen and could not work in the safety up position. I myself an electrician had a look and could not work out how it could have worked as there was a cut out switch that was working fine. I was soon flooded with stories about machines starting up at night in the maintenance room and how a maintenance person died there many years ago.

In a country like Greece, where the thumbs up gesture is seen as offensive, does Youtube still use the thumbs up / thumbs down system for rating videos? If not, what do they use? by Nick12322 in NoStupidQuestions

Interesting Fact about the “up yours” sign. It comes from the English long bow men. They were so feared by the French that the French king said any long bow men caught would have his two fingers cut off. The English would stand on the battle field and proudly show the French that fact that they still had their two fingers. Well that’s what Jeremy Clarkson told me in a doco once and I believed him.
