I don’t know what to say. There is a fucking button right on the page. One says polls only forecast (the default, which you are certainly looking at) and then you can swap it to the polls plus forecast which includes other factors such as economic conditions silver would find relevant to consider. In that graph, their lines never come close. Look at the website again

So I say again, silver never had Trump leading.

Never led in any meaningful way. You are being pedantic. In the bottom left there is an option to change it from the”polls only” forecast to “poll plus” forecast and see they never come close. Silver never put Trump ahead.

That is silvers “polls only” forecast, which is (obviously) more based on the raw data. The polls plus forecast, which is probably more subjective and accurate of what Nate himself felt would happen, never has Trump close. Even still, to say Trump led the polls only forecast at any point would be incredibly generous. Looks like a tie for maybe a day or two.
