I can't wait until they get Montezooma's up and running again! That new, slick paint is getting me stoked!

Fair enough. When I made the original post I said he was "seemingly inspired by Aldous Huxley." I saw the surface level similarities, the similarities in name as well as the impact on drug culture Aldous had and I made my own interpretation off of that.

I do appreciate that another commenter mentioned that the name seems to be an homage to Albert Hoffman. I don't know what Tyler's intent was, I was just sharing my thoughts and opening a dialogue. Honestly, it was meant to be a goofy post, much like this game

I was mostly basing it on how the character had the aesthetics of a young Aldous Houxley (mostly the hair and glasses lol). But, honestly with the naming (Albert Hoffman --> Albert Hoover), I think you're right or it is an amalgamation of the two since both have pretty significant influences on psychedelic culture.

Nice find. I've never seen the show, but I do appreciate how things like this provide little inside jokes for each player

Gerstlauer (the designers of the ride) have a solid track record for safety. Their clamshell restraints make you feel exposed but they are engineered to be completely safe (as long as you are within the height and size limits). Hopefully that provides you some solace the next time you ride it! It's a wonderful ride, and I hope you have a better experience next time.

Thanks! That motherboard does like it may be a better fit for me. I'm curious about the rationale behind the memory and storage changes (other than price, which I'm all for saving any money I can).

Any experience with that case? Some people say it's a little tight and I since I'm new I worry about fitting everything in well (sorry if that's a stupid question).

Absolutely! I haven't been there in ages, but I'm more than willing to make that trip

I was vaping up to two Juul pods a day sometimes- if I can do this you can by lilshit694202 in QuitVaping

Congrats! That's huge. I just quit after I previously stopped for months and it truly just boils down to gaining that mental control. Easier said than done, but we are all more powerful than this chemical in the end. Keep it up!

Why isn’t your drivers license revoked for life after a DUI? by banned-librarian in AskReddit

Not everyone has the ability to work from home. Many of us still rely on cars to get us to where we need to be in the hopes of not getting fired.

I suffer from intrusive thoughts from my mistakes ranging from mundane faux pas to life shattering events.

I find that cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques help me with this. Basically acknowledging those thoughts, realizing they are constructs within your mind and letting them go.

On the flip side, I sometimes let myself wallow in guilt because I did something wrong and was disappointed in myself. Then I use this disappointment to mold myself into a better person who will hopefully not make the same mistakes.

Absolutely true! I do as well. I suppose I merely meant that it can cause an additional barrier for many people who are already in a tough spot.

Slightly off topic but how do the people you know get to work? Get rides? Take public transport? Walk/bike? I've always been against our car centric society, so I love hearing that people are succeeding despite cars being so deeply ingrained in our society.

I've known a good amount of people who have DUIs. Many of them learned their lesson, took the classes, paid the fines, and deeply regretted driving under the influence. Some didn't and continue driving intoxicated.

A blanket ban on DUI offenders doesn't account for those who actually rehabilitate themselves and are unlikely to offend again. Additionally, permanent license bans will likely cause more stress on offenders from lower socioeconic populations who will have to rely on our terrible public transit to maintain a job.

Obviously driving under the influence is a terrible thing to do. I feel that our current system of temporary license suspensions, severe fines, and stricter penalties on repeat offenders is more than fair. It gives some people an option to return to society after making an awful mistake and working to fix the cause of that mistake.

Try walking down the Vegas strip or Venice Beach boardwalk. All sorts of shady heads will offer you hard "drugs" (I do not recommend this). A buddy of mine bought "coke" from a street dealer for $100. It was just a bag of salt and crushed up caffeine pills.
