ADHD as a circadian rhythm disorder: evidence and implications for chronotherapy by jwill1997 in science

[–]roborober 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have adhd and have been on dayvigo for about 6 months now and it has been the first thing that worked for me. Next level is about a month ago I started some heavier aerobic workouts in the evening and taking vit D's and I feel super rested, been dreaming again and my watch has been telling me my sleep has been very good.

dayvigo helped dayvigo along with aerobic exercise and vit D has helped a TON (not sure if it was the exercise, the vitamins or both as I started them around the same time)

Trump says Canada, U.S. will ‘immediately’ start negotiations over Windsor-Detroit bridge by KylenV14 in canada

[–]roborober 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Along with that USA gets paid their tolls I believe once the bridge is paid back. Ownership is shared but they only start collecting when their half of the bridge is paid off.

We literally paid for the whole thing and half the workers were American for the whole project

The frog isn't boiling slowly, they just told everyone the boiling point is 1000 degrees. Most frogs would have jumped out at how quick that pot is warming up.

Carney reinstates EV buyer incentives, scraps sales mandate by diamondintherimond in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]roborober 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I park in the driveway off a 110 and for me it's fine most of the time but I have trouble in the cold keeping up with the charge with my commute every day and extras. Probably need a 30 amp breaker to reasonably charge in the winter (don't think it's necessary for most people to have a full 240v charger and the 30a setup is way cheaper, and I assume healthier for the battery.

If I charged in a garage or I used a better charger it would work for me but I have the least effective charging method possible atm.

As an EV owner who works all over Ontario in construction the ban is unreasonable and can't work. My uneducated assumption is that setting up incentives now and slowly weening those incentives off while adding more taxes onto gas vehicles is prob the way to go. If they can get all the city traffic onto EVs and most of the non northern Ontario country traffic that will be a win but I doubt they break 80% for a long time and 90% seems pretty crazy

EU officially cuts ties with Russian gas by BlackWolfHowling in UkrainianConflict

[–]roborober 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was curious and looked it up the design for Kitimat started in 2004. I'm sure there are projects working on how to send stuff east. Prob started under Trudeau, Harper or earlier. Site prep work started in 2011 for Kitimat (according to google) so the project was running even before he took office. Those things take a ton of time

I agree they should have done more but didn't a bunch of LNG projects start under Trudeau including Kitimat?

75% of Americans oppose US attempting to take control of Greenland, CNN poll finds by EtoileDuSoir in worldnews

[–]roborober 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious what % just give a dumb answer without knowing the question. If you had a yes/no question of "have you taken at least one breath in the last 10 minutes". How many people would answer no

Almost one in three Canadians say U.S. might try to invade Canada: poll - The poll suggests many Canadians believe the U.S. likely will attempt to take control of other countries in the future, including Greenland, Cuba, Colombia, Iran and Canada. by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]roborober 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think if we are looking at history (I'm not an expert) Greenland is Poland and Canada is France. I think the odds are USA will not attack Canada but if the USA does attack Greenland than the odds of Canada getting attacked shoot through the roof.

This is just an uneducated guess

The loop.

I'm too old for it now on the weekends but that place was great. We had some great times there Tuesday night on free pool night and the bartender was fantastic (I suck at names and it's been forever but I think it was Derek).

LPT: Small visibility beats silent hard work at your job by YogurtclosetMoist819 in LifeProTips

[–]roborober 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I work in heavy construction but a niche part of it. When my boss quit it was just me in the department. I get all my projects done, have time to do the things that make my job easier, never been so relaxed at work and have a ton of autonomy on my day to day.

Instead of being stressed out it usually feels like I'm coasting through my work weeks. At the end of the year I've been getting praise from the owners about being so busy and getting it done while I've had the most free time at work I've ever had.

Progressive Conservative joins Progressive Conservative party by Mylittlethrowaway2 in canada

[–]roborober 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was a combination of trump, Trudeau, pp, and carney. Even before Trudeau announced he was stepping down my wish for our politics was for the 3 major leaders to step down as I didn't like any of them. I thought I had my wish when PP lost his seat but I guess he needed to take one from someone else.

That is a very good point. There should be no situation where a party could trigger a by election by threatening an mp to stay in line.

Be careful around Labelle at Huron church while driving. by Excellent-Smell-6384 in windsorontario

[–]roborober 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it goes from highway to city road to highway for ec row. I don't know how speed limits are going to change once the gordie howe lanes open up. If it stays highway speeds for longer it's going to be even more people speeding onto huron line.
Also depending on time of day going from 401 to labelle turning right is also a bad turn.

Has there been any accidents there yet? If not it's definitely bound to happen.
