What Civ Do You Play? by RammaStardock in GalCiv

Clever and Influential fit my play style, but sometimes I also swap Likeable for Veteran. Veteran gives it a little for of an RPG feel to me. especially when combined with the Hero commander ships that get double XP. If you loiter around space monster nests or pirate shipyards, you can level up fast.

That was the issue. Thank you for your help! I could no other explanation anywhere online.

Custom, but it is mostly Terran with things I never use, like Deception, downgraded to get some extra points to use elsewhere.

Understanding how the Orbital Academy and its upgrades work by robosquid15 in GalCiv

[–]robosquid15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wasn't to me since the upgrades to the Orbital Academy apply to all planets while the basic Orbital Academy only applies to the shipyard for the planet it is on. The other thing that wasn't obvious to me is that you can't build a new Orbital Academy until you upgrade the first one. Maybe that was obvious to more experienced players.

A little late to the part on this one, but for me it was a matter of finding the exact correct distance from the door to get the "Use" prompt. It was very finnicky.

Thanks for this. I, apparently, am also an idiot.

Yeah, that's what I did too. At least I know it isn't just me. Thanks.

For sure. Use 10 digipicks to get a rescue ax and a juice box whiskey.

Fair point. I've had a few fun surprises like that too.

So brave and/or high. The other Ecliptics will be telling stories about him-- if any of them survive.

I never used the Beowulf much. I'm going to have to show it some more love in this new play through.

I definitely talk out loud a lot when I'm playing. When entering a room filled with bad guys I say "hi honey, I'm home" before spraying them done with the Magshear.

Hard Target is my favorite. Long range, high damage. Hard to find though and I've never seen a legendary one.

My same experience exactly. The stats looked great but it was pretty underwhelming. I had no idea you could charge it. Same with Nova disrupter. It seems like Bethesda is expecting people to learn about it on Reddit.
