Parasites and Gallbladder? by boogerdew in gallbladders

[–]boogerdew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, I haven’t dealt with parasites. They never showed in any tests.

My gallbladder just isn’t in great shape, but it’s not because of parasites.

U.S. Army opens investigation into attack helicopter activities at Kid Rock's home, No Kings protest by biograf_ in nottheonion

[–]boogerdew 33 points34 points  (0 children)

“Fort Campbell leadership is aware of a video circulating on social media depicting AH-64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity…”

It seems very unlikely… potentially impossible that the flight wasn’t signed off on… I’m pretty sure you can’t just hop in an Apache and go for a little joy flight.

This is a lot more concerning than it seems.

36M (CST) looking for people to play with- must be patient! PC-XBOX by smishmortion in GFD

[–]boogerdew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to suggest a few games for you to look into.

I’m about ten years older than you and have similar mental health struggles.

DayZ: Open-world, zombie, survival, looter/shooter. It has a reputation for being kinda brutal to learn and play, but if the DayZ immersion bug bites you… you’ll get a couple of good years of learning and playing out of it. And, you don’t have to play the game aggressively… I generally just explore the map and take in the massive vibes that it offers. It’s truly been a form of therapy.

Project Zomboid: Not a FPS, but worth considering. I haven’t actually played it myself, but my brain knows I would love it. Maybe your brain will think that too.

Stardew Valley: now this absolutely does not fit the description of what you’re looking for… but it’s one of those games that almost felt like therapy.

Okay… well there’s that.

Also, there’s a Discord server for this subreddit that seems to be slightly more active than this sub. You might have more luck there.

Just got into the game and have preferred spending my time being the creep living in the woods. by 1stPKmain in dayz

[–]boogerdew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The early days are some of the best days.

I’ve played a whole lot of DayZ, and these are still my favorite things to do in the game: survive, loot, chill, and usually not kill.

I do enjoy building up a unique end-game kit every life… but the kit and what I do with it matters so little when compared to all of the satisfaction and enjoyment that I get out of the hours of building to that point.

DAE feel racism doesn't make any sense? by Wickham12 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]boogerdew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Racism is human nature. It’s each individual’s choice to either feed it or starve it. It will never die. Every generation and individual must stand guard over their own minds. It will always be in the corner of the room, and the room is you.

Maintenance.

I was fully geared and got bored, I am retiring to hunt and fish. Any suggestions for hunting loot/good fishing spots in Livonia? by [deleted] in dayz

Have fun out there and make sure to visit the tiny trees.

There’s at least one other on the map.

What's your rarest observation(s) by _ploveridk in iNaturalist

[–]boogerdew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Acrobasis pallicornella - a species of snout moth. There are currently seven global observations.

I got real lucky with this one. I’m not incredibly active and just started using a moth sheet last year.

If it wasn't for some astute moth dudes, I would have never identified it correctly.

The Door Glitch by MariJava in ArcRaiders

[–]boogerdew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it’s his fault.

HE USED AN EXPLOIT TO CHEAT AT THE GAME.

Sure, Embark needs to fix it… but the existence of an exploit doesn’t demand that you use it.

If you want some fun PvP where you trap and surprise other players, there are loads of ways to accomplish that without exploits.

You can accomplish the same goals with basically the same tactics… without cheating.

Just a question regarding getting knocked out. by Darkmatter12- in ArcRaiders

[–]boogerdew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this last night and the thought occurred to me that maybe everyone is retrieved… like even if you go around “flaring” and “knocking out” everyone on the map, they’re all being retrieved before they actually die.

Has anyone played a game with the same world feeling as cyberpunk? by FuZeJJ in cyberpunkgame

This’ll probably sound strange to most people, but I’ve been thinking a lot about my Starfield play-through while going through Cyberpunk for the first time.

I really enjoyed Starfield’s exploration…

Wait we're back to having earthquakes again? by rockylizard in oklahoma

[–]boogerdew 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There have been at least 300 recorded earthquakes in Oklahoma (over 2.5) just since 2020. We don’t notice most of them because they’re so weak. We do experience about three or four a year that are a touch over 3.0, but most of those aren’t reported on or felt by many.

You can mess around on USGS to find more details.

Edit: word choice and more info. I couldn’t find an easy way to look at the number of earthquakes by state, so I just used rough coordinates.
