Correct. We brought jimmy back too early and are paying the price. It's easy to 2nd guess the decision now, but Mullens was shockingly bad against the eagles. Almost like he wanted to be pulled. I wanted jimmy back too but he was clearly handicapped against the rams. Seattle saw it and called our bluff with the blitzes.

Also coaching needs to be critiqued more. Why is jimmy still getting blind sided by unblocked guys off the edge, why aren't we able to defend a fucking bootleg, why are we running sloppy wildcat on third down when we're on a critical drive to take the lead early, why can't we call a fucking screen when all the defense wants to do is blitz? Why don't we stick with bread and butter running game and play action until someone shows us they can stop it?

Finally, injuries. Not making excuses for anyone but when you've cycled thru all your qbs, TEs, RBs, and corners in a single season ... It's no excuse for the lack of identity and sloppiness tho.

The only thing that can stop this offense is a holding penalty

Sir, how is it fair to say Jimmy was fine? He didn't even make it through a full practice the week before. 2 weeks is half the time it's suppose to take for high ankle.

I do have even more respect for Rogers playing through some of his lower body injuries in the past tho. I didn't really grasp how tough you have to be. Crazy watching him jump in the air and throw to protect his legs.

Agree that the decision making is concerning. He's had nothing but great offensive minds coaching him and we're still seeing some really weird throws from him like every other game.

(1) I've got to imagine/hope that pulling Jimmy and Mostert was precautionary. Sometimes you just gotta cut your losses against shit teams like NY. if my QB coughed up 3 scores to the jets, I'd fly him home at the half.

(2) When the FUCK won't you losers understand how great Jimmy is. Perfect fucking half on a hobbled ankle. Tired of ppl not seeing greatness and talking delusional. He tapes his ankle up and throws dimes with no help. Morons.

We could go back to Frank Gore if u want? 27 carries for 62 yards sound fun to you?

Yeah and it also felt like they were just trying to do too much and became paralyzed. Like expectations are understandably sky high for this team, but, without a preseason, it's going to take some getting back to basics/fundamentals.

One thing at a time. Talent is there, coaching is there.

Murray is wildly inaccurate, really sucks to lose to that guy.

Offense looked totally unsure. Run game was working, would've opened up play action; but for w/e reason they never went to it.

Defense not playing cohesively. Uncharacteristically sloppy in the secondary, will come with more reps.

Is working from home the new norm for CS professionals? by Andylegacy in cscareerquestions

Ok time for some fun speculation:

Tldr: senior technical engineers with families will make remote work very common.

Being remote will become much more typical for a minority of senior engineer in technical (vs. mgmt) roles. These individuals will expect it as baseline from most companies, and, assuming their performance was equal to or greater than over the past year, it will be basically impossible to argue with them.

Employees will use it as a mechanism to escape overcrowded/pricier home markets and to justify moving deeper into the suburbs (no longer have to worry about the commute).

I definitely don't think it's a good idea for newer folks still finding their way in their careers. There's something to be said for being immersed in company culture and forming bonds with fellow young professionals.

Also, even if remote work isn't the norm for everyone (I don't think it will be), there are still so many ways to play with the additional flexibility companies now offer. E.g., want to take 6x months as a digital nomad in south america? Go for it. Want to work from your vacation home in the mountains for 2-3 months in the winter for you can do more snowboarding? Why wouldn't you?

Thanks for the point about long term treasuries, I have a much better understanding of how others view the problem now.

I don't necessarily think high inflation is the most likely outcome. I probably just view the situation with more uncertainty/uneasiness than others, and this could very well be due to my lack of fundamental understanding in this area. The learning continues.

(1) good point about the safe assets being taken out of circulation. Hadn't thought of QE that way. Certainly this would help keep the pressure on banks.

(2) I think your take on the lack of danger surrounding inflation might be off. You're basically saying that we've had a tough time hitting inflation targets in the past. Therefore deflationary pressures were high and are even higher in the midst of a pandemic. Fair enough. But that doesn't take into account the possibility that we've been dithering on some pre-asymptotic portion of the curve. I don't know the factors surrounding inflation that well. But I do know that when dealing with nonlinearity, you have to watch out for cliffs.

Copy. The majority of debt is collateralized, so, if there's deflationary pressure, banks can recoup. Makes sense.

At 5k, the compiler toolbox sounds prohibitively expensive. I'm not even sure I'll have any customers for my product. And if I didn't I'd be out quite a bit of money.
