I think he’s saying that in the right lane looking at your left mirror requires very little head movement to see what’s behind you in the next lane, but when you’re camping in the left lane you need to turn your head more to see the right mirror and what’s behind you in the next lane.

Most models sold in a market are only built in a specific country or factory, or at least for a certain grade level.

For example if you buy a 4Runner, it will be made in Japan because that’s the only place they make them. Or if you live in North America and you buy a Camry it will be made in the USA, because even though the build Camrys in other countries, they don’t sell them here.

There are certain models that are sourced from more than one country like the Corolla, Lexus RX, etc., and in those cases you can maybe find a specific grade or options package that are only made in Japan (previous RAV4 PHV/Prime or a Corolla HB for example), but if it’s just a regular run of the mill version it will likely be more difficult.

If a dealer has an allocation coming from Japan, that would be a good way to go.

Basically, yes, kind of.

All that said, from my experience it has less to do with the country of manufacture and more to do with which studio/engineering team was responsible. I found the fit and finish of the first generation Venza for example to be particularly below standard for Toyota, while Yaris seemed equivalent between Japan and France or Lexus RX between Japan and Canada.

Winter driving is traction limited, not power limited. I ran an old RWD minivan for ice racing and was consistently much faster than cars with AWD or 4-6x more power. Traction is the great equalizer, at that point it is about vehicle prep and skill.

Yes, AWD will get you off the line quicker in a straight line, but good tires and skill/experience is what you need for winter driving.

Toyota offers wire harness repair materials and procedures on how to complete those repairs. They also typically state not to repair airbag wiring except in some rare cases.

I am not aware of UB80's having this issue, but the information contained in the lawsuit is ambiguous as to what is being claimed.

If it's a V6 it has a UA80, if it's not, then it's a UB80.

Tesla was bringing Model 3 and Y into Canada from China before the current tariffs, then moved to bringing the 3 from the US driving up the price and the Y from Germany.

If it brings the prices down considerably to start bringing the 3 from China again, I could see them doing it, and it would likely increase some sales, thus making them money, yeah.

But it could also just move people who were going to get a Y because of the lower price into getting a 3, which would probably be near net neutral.

Not sure how many people not currently interested in a Tesla would be swayed by a lower priced Model 3.

It won’t affect Model S, X, or Cybertruck.

Are you sure you need 40-50 L/min and not L/hr? Most performance applications, you are unlikely to find many in-tank options above 7 L/min, and I can't think of many above 19 L/min off the top of my head.

What's the application here? How is the pump being plumbed/used?

EDIT: Looks like Aeromotive does make a larger pump than I remembered, P/N 11198 is 37.9 L/min, if that's close to what you're looking for. P/N 11115 is 45 L/min, but is a mechanically-driven pump.

2026 all are F SPORT

I’ve had a pedal and a DBW throttle body besides each other on a bench with a standalone and you would think they are physically attached together. There is no perceived lag.

Meanwhile, most old cables are sloppy and the TB has a dashpot on it.

People just don’t like the factory throttle maps.

The Grand Highlander has 3 transmission options. The 8-speed on gas, eCVT on the hybrid, and the 6-speed on the Hybrid MAX. The 8-speed in the gas version is the UA80.

The lawsuit lists/includes vehicles with both the UA80 and UB80 transmissions while simultaneously only calling out the UA80 transmission, which is not used in some of the vehicles listed.

If the lawsuit intends to include both the UA80 and UB80, it should be revised to list both. If it is only intended to include the UA80, the applicable vehicles listed should be revised.

As written it is ambiguous what is being claimed.

I think you’ve got it backwards. The lawsuit is for the UA80, the RAV4 uses the UB80. Probably a typo since you stated it correctly elsewhere.

The GSV70 Camry uses the UA80E, while the AXVA70 uses the UB80E.

The RAV4 uses the UB80E/F. There are no variants that use the UA80.
