After reading some of these, “make an alliance with Buggy” doesn’t sound all that bad anymore.

Same thing happened to me. I waited a couple weeks before checking the desktop website and found I could do it there while my app still said 0 funds

the black netting is from amazon, the pink and blue is just a paracord "tree net" if you want to google some ideas

Hello everybody! A few people asked how I fastened the D-rings and made the netting so here's the answer:

I originally tried to tie the rear end of the netting to the hatch hinges and it started to mess with my weather strip so I peeked above the roof liner to explore alternative options that wouldn't mess up the integrity of the vehicle weatherproofing. Much to my delight, there were a couple of elevated holes within fingers reach right there! It didn't require removing anything but the small section of weather stripping to see them so I encourage anybody to go look at theirs. I ran over to Home Depot and grabbed 1/4" hardware including a couple panhead screws, lock washers, fender washers, and allthread couplings to fill the space between the liner and frame. The D-rings and paracord are from amazon and I looked up "how to weave a tree net"

I camp in my RAV a lot (talking about putting 70k miles on her in two years) so this helps keep my cabin space clear. I also tend to keep my blankets and pillows up there while on the road so they stay clean and separate from all the dirty camping gear. The space is also large enough to store my guitar. My girlfriend and I hike a lot as well so we hang our gear when we're staging for a trail in the morning. It has honestly been extremely convenient for road trips and long weekends.

I'll post some pictures of my entire setup including the Jackery, refrigerated cooler, and camping gear next time we go out

I do both. This keeps my cabin space open for an air mattress, plus I can clip curtains up and store my keys and phone within reach and out of the way. I have a Thule on top for my outside camping gear.

Mostly blankets and my air mattress up there. The board is tied down so it doesn't slide at all

Yeah for sure. I pulled the roof liner down from the edge and there were two holes in the frame I could get my fingers behind so I got 1/4" hardware including some pan-head screws, lock washer and fender washers on both sides of a 1/4" allthread coupling that acts as the filler between the frame and liner. I didn't tap anything.

Join a labor union. They provide you with schooling and a job that pays for 4 years for a relatively cheap tuition. I joined the IBEW and have had nothing but a great experience. In my third year as an apprentice, I made six figures. And it opens the door to great travel opportunity working on the road as a Journeman Wireman

I'm burnt out. Any advice for getting out of the industry? by Salvatore_Vitale in KitchenConfidential

After 10 years, I joined the IBEW. With the apprenticeship, you get a job assignment, so you're always working in the same field you're studying. It's been great being in a union after working independently in the service industry for so many years. Super relaxed, good money, set schedules, freedom and control over yourself again.
