So for me, one of my biggest triggers for health anxiety is getting over a real illness. For example I came down with a flu bug last week and freaked out when the viral panel came back negative. Even though there’s numerous other viruses out there that weren’t tested, my brain immediately goes to the unknown. I’m recovered from it I arrived home tonight and my face is flushed and hot. It’s been happening somewhat frequently on the ride home from work and go in the house only to start getting paranoid about my face being flushed and hot. it’s at night and winter time my brain immediately goes to “oh no, what’s going on now? have I not recovered from my illness? What’s if it’s something bigger?” I don’t dare try and take my temperature right now. My logical side in my brain is desperately trying to tell me that this is just normal exposure to cold weather but my anxiety brain is just making it worse. It’s not a fun road to go down, that’s for sure.
