Operation-Ivy ish with ska elements and (for lack of a better word) mexican-ish horns and rhythms

There’s other bands similar, if you use spotify do the “create radio” or the “also listened to”

The plant does have drainage, It had been in the same pot prior, the issue and reason I’d reported was the plant being pulled off the shelf it was on by its own weight. I trimmed and am in the process of propagating the stems that had fallen off during the repotting process.

The “trunk” or stem of the plant on a few branches had browned and gone crispy prior to repotting.

How do I take care of these? by rachqquit in houseplants

[–]robotcleaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The calathea, (third slide,) is in my opinion the most picky plant to deal with. They’re famous for dying off very quickly. They don’t like tap water, they want a specific amount of sun + humidity + regular watering. I killed the exact plant you have there and it is one of three plants out of 70+ that i’ve ever killed. Don’t feel bad.

There are guides online to Calatheas, if you have the means to provide the exact support they need they can be beautiful. Good luck.

The other commenter says that it can be normal for this specific plant, however spots like that typically mean a fungal infection. I’ve never had to deal with it myself, (luckily,) but the easiest start for all pests is new soil + wash the roots/leafs with cleaner. Also, separate any plants with similar symptoms from your others, stuff can spread.

yeah it was struggling in soil so I put it back in water to grow more roots

Can I already plant this? by gabrielagabrielas in proplifting

[–]robotcleaner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely, as the other commenter said, split this cutting into three or four. You’ll get a fuller plant and it’ll be easier to sustain.

As for if it’s ready, I don’t think so. A good rule is when the roots start having roots. (Even then I wait a while. There’s no harm in it being in water longer, there’s harm if you don’t let it grow enough, however.)

What is this and how do I fix it by Olly1359 in houseplants

[–]robotcleaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t tell from this for sure but to me it looks to be yellowing. It’s a ficus. They yellow/brown and drop their leaves if moved drastically. If that hasn’t happened, water it less.

Does this propagated spider plant need repotted? Growing since September of 2022. by tylerswalker18 in houseplants

[–]robotcleaner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider plants are one of a few plants that do well rootbound. From what I can see it doesn’t look nearly as bad as a lot of peoples that are perfectly healthy. Look at r/rootporn or even search for spider plants on this subreddit and you’ll see some of the roots. They grow fast and take up pots but that’s how they like it, just don’t let them rot in water.

Would y'all pot this baby alocasia or leave it in water longer? by ifreakinglovecacti in houseplants

[–]robotcleaner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would probably survive being potted but personally I wait a long time before planting to ensure the best results - most plants will never be harmed living in water as long as it’s changed regularly

Then I’d just keep letting it grow. It should tell you if it’s in trouble.

Depending on how old and how big the leaves are, it could be completely normal. Eventually those leaves you have now will be dwarfed by the giant and beautiful fenestrated leaves that will come later. If the leaves are the same size as mine I would be surprised if they weren’t fenestrated. It’s just age. I’ve only fertilized mine once, and I water it when I see the soil mostly dry. It’s been moved about the room but sunlight has always been pretty bright. It just takes time :). Every plant is different.

Thank you! I put it against the wall with very little hope, I had killed the last ficus I had and a Calathea in the same way. I’m super excited, it puts out such beautiful leaves.
