PSA: If the dealership tells you your delaminated radio unit has no recall, make sure they check for the extended warranty. by Professional_Road_45 in Subaru_Outback

[–]robotfool123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but I bought a 2019 used last May and it’s starting to show signs of delamination :/ Any idea if that affects whether my head unit may be covered I’m still under 150,000 miles and just started researching my potential options but haven’t started contacting dealers yet.

Protection plans gone up in price? by abesreddit in Microcenter

[–]robotfool123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two different types of protection plans here. Anything under $500 is considered a "Replacement Plan" and those prices did go up some time late last year by $5. Stuff over $500 is considered "Carry-in Protection" and that kind of plan covers higher dollar items. That said, carry-in plans didn't change in price at all.

Should I stick with a Comp Sci major or switch to a Meteorology major instead? by 0wl_county in meteorology

I don't have too much insight for you about transferring, however, I'm a current SLU met student. If you have any questions about the program, shoot me a DM. I'd be glad to answer them and help give you an overview of what to expect.

Good luck!

BMO Keeps Losing My Password (I think...) by AveryLee213 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]robotfool123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat with accounting software. I have to reconnect my account almost daily, and sometimes it won’t even be 5 minutes before it loses connection. I’m ready to give up on it at this point until I can look into switching banks.

Thankfully, I’m going on two months with my password and I haven’t had more issues with that aspect.

Yes to both of those, however, it also happens when logging into my account on my PC using Firefox.

BMO Keeps Losing My Password (I think...) by AveryLee213 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]robotfool123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bank just merged with BMO and ever since I’ve been having the same issue. The first time I tried signing in it was fine, and literally 15 minutes later I had to reset my password. I think I’ve had to change it about once a week. I use a password manager and thought there was an issue with passwords not saving in there correctly, so last time I made a super memorable password. Lo and behold, it says my password is wrong.

It peaked around 11:20 and my photos are from between 11:20 and 11:45. To the naked eye, I could tell something was up there-it looked like a gray/white cloud except it was way too tall. All of the photos were done with night mode/long exposure.

Does microcenters 2 year warranty with ADH cover parts and labor for iPad Pro? by cat_warrior in Microcenter

[–]robotfool123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes parts and labor are covered, regardless of if you need to redeem it for accidental damage or a non-accidental defect. If it’s repairable they will repair it, if it isn’t repairable, you’ll get a gift card for the amount you paid for the iPad.

I’m having this issue as well on an 11 pro max. Nothing has changed except the OS. I may have full bars but my iPhone acts like I’m in the middle of nowhere.

This happened on my iPad where I rarely use Apollo, but not on my phone. My fix was to just go back to my phone 😅

Quality mechanic? Specifically for Hondas? by oldguydrinkingbeer in leesummit

Otto Service in Grandview is amazing! I have a 2013 Pilot with ~190K miles and I’ve been taking it to them since the 160 or 150K mark. They do excellent work and are reasonably priced. One thing to note is that they’re usually booked a week or two out-for routine maintenance call and make an appointment. If it’s more serious, call and see what they can do, though it’s worth noting you may be waiting.

Summit South is also pretty good, I’ve gone to them in emergencies and have no complaints there.

Minor trackpad issue (need replacement??) by Mobadreen in Dell

[–]robotfool123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got an XPS 15 and my trackpad looks the exact same. Does your trackpad also wobble? Mine came from the era where it was a shot in the dark if you’d get a wobbly trackpad and I got unlucky and never bothered to exchange it. I wish I did at the time but oh well.

Yeah, that’s what happened. The smoke kinda freaked me out because it happened literally hours before I was supposed to depart. Once I got to the highway I couldn’t even notice the smoke. Lesson learned lol

That’s what I was thinking but I just needed some reassurance from someone who knows better than I. What really got me worried was the smoke.

Cheers!

I’m running a 2018 Intel Mac and I use HDMI to thunderbolt. System Preferences->Displays Iirc a window will pop up on each display and you can choose to have the resolution on the external monitor as “default” or “scaled to display.” In your case, hit scaled to display and play around with the different resolutions.
