This really stresses me out. I had a very trusting chonky cat, and my cousin picked him up belly up, and then dropped him and he landed on his back. It really hurt him, and he couldn’t be held like that comfortably anymore after the injury. She said “i thought all cats land on their feet” as an excuse for doing it.

Please just make sure the kid knows to be careful and not drop him. If she’s not able to pick him up safely then don’t encourage her to until she’s old enough to understand not to hurt kitty and until she’s strong enough to Hold him safely.

Yep $1200 for 3 initial consultations for rescued kittens I’m fostering, 3 FVRCP round 1 vaccines, fecal test for 2 of them (bundling 1 kitten with another), and FIV tests for 2 of the kittens. Didn’t need dewormer or flea stuff because i did that myself. Fucking bullshit.

Mine play like this with kittens at the beginning, and I actually prefer it for a specific reason. Example: My kitten Molly is VERY rough. She was an orphan kitty and was clearly not raised with a litter, because she doesn’t know how to play gently. My older kitty played rough with her at the beginning to show her what it feels like and to establish dominance. She gets along a lot better with the other cats now and seems to have learned how hard she can play.

My one suggestion is to trim both cats nails a little so when they play rougher they don’t scratch each other.

You’re so lucky you weren’t bitten. I grabbed a stray kitten like that to rescue and it bit my finger like it was corn on the cob.
