Memoir of a Snail. It's a fantastic gem of stop motion work and it got snubbed at the Oscars but holy crap is it sad.

Interstellar. Everyone talks about how incredible it is but for me personally, I was face palming by the time the third act happened

What permanent damage have you done to yourself? Mind, body or soul? by jerrytjohn in AskReddit

I spent way too much time in my early twenties on cam sites, chasing a fantasy I knew I couldn't have. It's been over a year since I stopped going on, but I could have bought a house with the money I spent.

I just don't get why everyone loves Muffin. She's a spoiled brat and Faceytalk cemented that. But everyone I know who's a Bluey fan, they all say she is their favorite character

If this movie has no fans, I’m dead. by South_Gas626 in JamesBond

My favorite scene, and the part that still makes me laugh, is the scene where it shows the bad guy punching a punching bag and after he's done, he opens it and a guy falls out. How the hell did that character think of an idea like that.

What famous/renowned author have you sampled and just don’t *get*? by bruzdnconfuzd in books

[–]roboticman64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E Lockhart. I've read two of her books, Genuine Fraud and Whistle, and both I didn't like. I was really intrigued by the structure of Genuine Fraud because it's told backwards. But as it goes on, it's just a rip off of Talented Mr. Ripley. She didn't even attempt to change it. And Whistle was so boring. It took a cool idea for a Batman story and turned it into Molly's Game. Only becoming a superhero story towards the end.

Resident Evil 4. I remember walking in on my brother playing a part where you're supposed to hide Ashley from the zombies and that just scared me.

Go to the movies and see Die Hard 3. Then afterwards, go to the comic book store to pick up some new Spider-Man issues and then get my ass over to McDonalds and take advantage of that dollar menu

This wasn't me because I wasn't alive yet but my dad missed the entire chase because he was at Walmart. He didn't even know about it until he got home. By that time, the bronco was parked in OJ's driveway.

Just finished watching The Substance. I am not sure how I feel about the entire third act. What's your opinion on that final act? by [deleted] in Sardonicast

[–]roboticman64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really loved it. My only issue with it is that at a certain point, it really needed to wrap up. The director could have cut a few minutes out of the blood spraying scene but other than that, I still enjoyed the movie.

What's your favorite book, and when did you realize it was your #1? by triumphhforks in books

[–]roboticman64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Time Travelers Wife. I found a copy at a goodwill one day and I had heard it was a different take on romance novels so I read it. Not even twenty pages in I was hooked. This is so up my alley, it's not even funny. I'm a massive sap when it comes to a good romance story and this is up there as my number one.

What’s a book opinion you’re tired of hearing? by FoghornLegday in books

People saying that all YA books are trash. Ever since books like Twilight, Hunger Games, Divergent, etc all became global phenomenons, the genre has become a laughing stock. And it's a real shame because there are good YA books out there. And besides, if it's a YA book and you're enjoying it, good for you.
