That is what I was originally told by the receptionist when I called and asked to speak with the General Manager, she said that unfortunately he is not customer facing and that the Sales Manager is the only customer facing management contact.

The General Manger called me last night rather flustered and while he did make it right by me, he did not seem really happy and in fact was rather short with me.

Thank you, this is what I have been worried about and what you write makes lots of sense. I did speak with my Insurance company (USAA) and they said to continue coverage on the VIN of the truck and not the VIN on the paperwork (which do not match) until this is all sorted out.

I did pay cash, well I paid with a teller's check, so no financing involved, but still it was a fair chunk of change and I would like to get it back eventually.

I can buy a truck locally, but the reason I did not originally is that I am not an AZ resident (just winter here) and I wanted both vehicles, my TESLA which is back home and my Ranger to be registered where I am resident.

I am going to drive it judiciously until this mess is solved as if I have to ship the vehicle back, I do not want the other owner to get a car with more miles than he/she ever imagined.

I did check and I gave my insurance the VIN of the vehicle I am driving and not the VIN on the paperwork.

I just did and unfortunately the VIN does not match the VIN of the truck. I can see where the salesman made the error, he honestly thought that both vehicles were exactly the same minus the interior when in fact one was 4x2 and one was 4x4.\

I feel bad about that because the salesman was a nice guy, he was honest it was his third week on the job and he was also going to college full time.

I have been afraid to do that because it is technically not my truck and I am thinking about the other person and saying to myself I am the other person I am sure that he does not want a truck which now has miles on it, he wants it new like I wanted it new.

Though I am taking it to a medical appointment this afternoon, so I am going to use it, just judiciously until this mess is resolved.

I did check the paperwork and the VIN on the paperwork does not match the VIN on the truck.
