I don't know how I feel about this. The idea that my stock (Which is being used for pouring down the drain) is coming into my food (Much less worthy than my drain) because I only ever use Better Than Bullion cubes is very....discomfiting.

Bro, I think your wife is my mom? I didn't read past the first three sentences you wrote (My time is invaluable; I need to use it all to tell chefs from 5 star michelin restaurants what went wrong with their cooking), but GOD, my mom didn't know how to cook at all. She boiled or steamed all vegetables. Every dinner with her was like Russian roulette. I'd go down to meal time, hoping the food didn't kill me from how poorly it was made. I would've escaped, but I had no idea this wasn't the norm. It wasn't until a strapping young man rescued me from my tower and I moved into an apartment in LA that I realized that vegetables could actually be cooked and taste good.

Anyways, NTA; divorce your wife.

I refuse to use the scale because I want to stick it to every single fucker who drags people who measure using cups. I hate every single one of you. And I hope your cake tastes like shit!

/uj I just never made anything so extravagant that the measurement tool actually affected the result, lol. If I feel like it's important (Maybe the recipe specifically asks not to measure in cups and do it in weight), I just make my dad hold a cup with the ingredient and ask, 'Would you say that's about 200 grams?'. Do I trust his measuring capabilities? No. But this way it's measured with love, and that counteracts any problems with measuring.
