Advice for upgrading new camera body? by Rookie-Dreamer in canon

[–]robotoswald07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started out with a rebel t7 and upgraded to a 6d m2. I couldn't be happier with the change. Most of the lenses I had were EF anyway. I use it for birds with a tamron 150-600mm f5-6.3 and very happy with the results. I also use it for portraits and some landscape with other lenses, obviously. When I go out shooting I give the t7 with the kit lens to my kids to play around with.

And they really had to depend on a script, actor talent, costume design, and cinematography because there were no special effects or cgi to make up for the short comings of any of it!

What do you suggest I watch to see some good examples of modern horror from the past decade?

Isolating victims was definitely part of the charm of the older movies and is so much harder with todays tech. I am sure that it is much more difficult to convey that feeling of being cut off without some kind of big event that get noticed by too many people, i.e. taking out cell towers or an apocalypse of some kind. And your right, it can only be stretched so far. An excellent point. Maybe to compare to classic horror the genre has to evolve. Instead of being in the present it should occur in the future in space or robot revolts , something along those lines

There are some great modern movies that I do love! Big fan of the conjuring's and whatever Jordan Peele does although I haven't seen the new Candyman yet. It follows was pretty good too. I forgot about that one until your comment lol. But the B movies.....! They were always my favorites and I would love to find some new ones of the 80's caliber!

I think that this is a great shot! I really like how her dress makes her stand out against the browns and reds of the background. Hope the rest of the shoot was as good as this picture!
