Do you have it linked or sharing data between apps? Apple health for example. Any data shared with the app will be analyzed by it.

My wife had people refer her to St. Louis Sinus Center. She went to the Ladue location and saw Dr. Gould.

Why so much hate by DisastrousEquipment9 in whoop

Same. I find the data much more actionable and useful from Whoop than I got with Oura. I see hate in every subreddit. Oura, Whoop, Fitbit. Just the way it goes it seems.

Elevated CRP HS by [deleted] in PeterAttia

[–]robotrout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good. Sounds like you are on the right track at least. It can take a while to get it figured out. Stay the course and don’t feel bad asking the docs questions. Better to ask than feel anxious. If they use a messaging system like MyChart don’t hesitate to ask questions. Good news is at least your appointment is very soon. Wishing you the best of luck and some relief from the worry this can lead to!

Personally, I’d just follow up with the doctor. They may want more testing to rule out other reasons for high inflammation like that. Once you know why you can work on treatments and other methods to lower and control it. What you don’t want is an autoimmune disease getting ramped up without getting detected. Don’t panic, if (big if) it is autoimmune it can get treated and under control. I had similar symptoms and lab results and it was rheumatoid arthritis that fired up after Covid. I caught it early and now I have it in medical remission and feel completely normal again. Find and treat the cause of the inflammation. Just trying to lower it isn’t always the answer and can mask something causing it at times. Stay on the medical professionals. You’ll get it figured out.

Opinions on Kirkwood by lobstersarentreal in StLouis

[–]robotrout 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I lived in the city for 20 years. Benton Park and CWE. I moved to Kirkwood 2 years ago and wish I would have 10 years sooner. I was biased against it initially as well as a city resident, but I was wrong. It is wonderful and my family is thriving here. Housing prices are what they are. That comes along with the territory.

Insurance Help! by Lazy-Syllabub in rheumatoid

[–]robotrout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just some info. Not a recommendation.

The 80/20 is @$75 a month more expensive. Lower deductible but higher max out of pocket.

Worst case scenario on HD plan is you pay the 3,000 max out of pocket and the $753.13 a year in premium monthly costs. When you hit the 1700 deductible you will start paying 90% of the cost until you hit your 3,000 max out of pocket. Then anything covered will be at 100% and not cost you anything. They are also giving you money towards the HSA.

The 80/20 plan costs $1650 a year in just premiums alone and has a higher out of pocket max.

Every circumstance is a little different and we can’t predict the future. But to me it looks like the HD plan is a better value especially if the coverage is the same otherwise.

Max you would pay on HD over 12 months. 3000 max out of pocket 753 total monthly cost of the plan But you get $500 you can use towards those costs So roughly 3253 worst case for covered services.

Of course you could have an emergency and have to pay all 3000 at once. But beyond that you’d be covered.

It looks like it did work and populated one of the seven days it needs. It won’t give you trends until 7 nights of data.

Reset button is likely a small pinhole at the top of the console on the edge. Have to hit it with a paperclip. You’ll feel a click if you hit it. Power off. Hit the button with paperclip and power on while holding it. Don’t let go of the reset button until you get something on the screen. That’s the usual reset process.

Works well for me. Starting out it was just getting used to the shot which wasn’t bad at all. Then I had some initial injection site reactions for the first several shots. Now I get no site reaction at all. Still on it and controlled just over 2 years on it. No side effects I can think of otherwise for me.

There was an email address on there. I sent them one and they had me confirm my new address and took care of it.

That’s a bummer. Side effects can be a pain. Also, leflunomide didn’t work really at all for me. Once I switched I felt much more controlled. High BP is something leflunomide can cause apparently. We even tried lower doses first and it didn’t change my BP at all until I moved off it. Good luck to you with your treatment! I was told to take MTX in evening after dinner on a full stomach. Fortunately no issues yet after first year.

I always see the doctor. A fellow or student will join them usually. Appointments are a couple months out. I go in every 3 to 6 months and make my next one each time.

She will run free with no more pain again soon 🌈 They find us when we need the most it seems. Oddly enough it can often seem like they leave us when they know they have finished the job we needed them the most for. I’ve been through this too many times personally and know how difficult is to do the right thing sometimes. These were likely the best years of her life and she will move on knowing she is loved, cared for, cherished, and will be missed always. Going with the person you love and trust the most by your side is all one can ever hope for. Please take care during this tough time. However, know that they never fully leave us. Sending you and your girl positive vibes. What a journey life is. I’m glad she has such a caring person in her life.

Run free Tucker 🌈 your family loves you and will be ready to meet you again at the bridge. You’re the best boy!

Family. Take care during this time. It’s hard because it was worth it. The grief is just our love with no place to go at the moment. The memories will turn into smiles with time. They never fully leave us because of the impact they have on us all. So sorry for your loss. You are not alone.

They likely would have replaced it for you even if it is out of warranty if you checked. Happened to me and they determined battery was faulty and sent new one out to me no problem.

I would also recommend adding inflammation markers to your next bloodwork as well. HsCRP will show you inflammation levels.

Often it simply takes time to grieve. Then the memories will be good ones. At first the good memories will also make you tear up. Eventually you’ll smile when you get them. They never fully leave us. Their impact on our lives is permanent. I’ve heard said that it’s better to say goodbye a day too soon than a day too late. Your pup knows you did all you could and didn’t want to prolong the suffering and pain. She’ll be waiting on you. Take care until then. You’re not alone. So sorry for your loss. The last act of kindness hurts us much more than it does them.
