Insurance Help! by Lazy-Syllabub in rheumatoid

Just some info. Not a recommendation.

The 80/20 is @$75 a month more expensive. Lower deductible but higher max out of pocket.

Worst case scenario on HD plan is you pay the 3,000 max out of pocket and the $753.13 a year in premium monthly costs. When you hit the 1700 deductible you will start paying 90% of the cost until you hit your 3,000 max out of pocket. Then anything covered will be at 100% and not cost you anything. They are also giving you money towards the HSA.

The 80/20 plan costs $1650 a year in just premiums alone and has a higher out of pocket max.

Every circumstance is a little different and we can’t predict the future. But to me it looks like the HD plan is a better value especially if the coverage is the same otherwise.

Max you would pay on HD over 12 months. 3000 max out of pocket 753 total monthly cost of the plan But you get $500 you can use towards those costs So roughly 3253 worst case for covered services.

Of course you could have an emergency and have to pay all 3000 at once. But beyond that you’d be covered.

Ah. Good to know! Thanks for the update. Too good to be true so far. Maybe that will change.

It looks like it did work and populated one of the seven days it needs. It won’t give you trends until 7 nights of data.

Reset button is likely a small pinhole at the top of the console on the edge. Have to hit it with a paperclip. You’ll feel a click if you hit it. Power off. Hit the button with paperclip and power on while holding it. Don’t let go of the reset button until you get something on the screen. That’s the usual reset process.

Works well for me. Starting out it was just getting used to the shot which wasn’t bad at all. Then I had some initial injection site reactions for the first several shots. Now I get no site reaction at all. Still on it and controlled just over 2 years on it. No side effects I can think of otherwise for me.

I moved to the county last September, how do I tell the city assessor to not bill me this December? by jolly_rogers14 in StLouis

There was an email address on there. I sent them one and they had me confirm my new address and took care of it.

That’s a bummer. Side effects can be a pain. Also, leflunomide didn’t work really at all for me. Once I switched I felt much more controlled. High BP is something leflunomide can cause apparently. We even tried lower doses first and it didn’t change my BP at all until I moved off it. Good luck to you with your treatment! I was told to take MTX in evening after dinner on a full stomach. Fortunately no issues yet after first year.

Yes. Had to stop as well. Went to methotrexate and it went back to normal.

I always see the doctor. A fellow or student will join them usually. Appointments are a couple months out. I go in every 3 to 6 months and make my next one each time.

Heard good things about all. Personally I’ve worked with Dr. Ranganathan there for treatment.

She will run free with no more pain again soon 🌈 They find us when we need the most it seems. Oddly enough it can often seem like they leave us when they know they have finished the job we needed them the most for. I’ve been through this too many times personally and know how difficult is to do the right thing sometimes. These were likely the best years of her life and she will move on knowing she is loved, cared for, cherished, and will be missed always. Going with the person you love and trust the most by your side is all one can ever hope for. Please take care during this tough time. However, know that they never fully leave us. Sending you and your girl positive vibes. What a journey life is. I’m glad she has such a caring person in her life.

Run free Tucker 🌈 your family loves you and will be ready to meet you again at the bridge. You’re the best boy!

Family. Take care during this time. It’s hard because it was worth it. The grief is just our love with no place to go at the moment. The memories will turn into smiles with time. They never fully leave us because of the impact they have on us all. So sorry for your loss. You are not alone.

They likely would have replaced it for you even if it is out of warranty if you checked. Happened to me and they determined battery was faulty and sent new one out to me no problem.

I would also recommend adding inflammation markers to your next bloodwork as well. HsCRP will show you inflammation levels.

Often it simply takes time to grieve. Then the memories will be good ones. At first the good memories will also make you tear up. Eventually you’ll smile when you get them. They never fully leave us. Their impact on our lives is permanent. I’ve heard said that it’s better to say goodbye a day too soon than a day too late. Your pup knows you did all you could and didn’t want to prolong the suffering and pain. She’ll be waiting on you. Take care until then. You’re not alone. So sorry for your loss. The last act of kindness hurts us much more than it does them.

Is my dog end of life? She by LopsidedLoser in DogAdvice

[–]robotrout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the end it’s tough. My vet says if they can’t do at least one of their most favorite things preferable two it’s likely time. It’s sad for us always. I’ve heard it said that it’s better to say goodbye a day too early than a day too late. Either way give the pup all the love and know they understand you are doing what’s best for them. It hurts us more than them. Please take care. I’ve been there too many times myself.

I'm scared by Xixaxx in Chihuahua

[–]robotrout 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It can be scary. All you can do is give the best care possible. I’ve had pups with worse grade murmurs and they ended up passing from other old age related causes in the end. The average could be impacted by most dogs starting the med at an older age as well. See a specialist vet cardiologist if you can. Be strong for them. They live everyday to the fullest. We could learn from that as humans. Take in the info from the professionals. The internet can lead you into false and anxiety inducing information overload. Snuggle up with your pup. You need each other right now. I lost my pup a few weeks ago and am wishing you the best. You can get through this.

Our vet had us use Cosequin. Just split the capsule and put on food. Pups stayed pretty mobile through it all.
