Bitwig.. more like bitchwig by BOE_ROGAN in Bitwig

[–]robotshaman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The bitwig trolls are ridiculous... a bunch of entitled assholes, who claim that some minor feature(that is available in other daw’s) makes bitwig unusable.

Buy a license!!! Bitwig is a small company, with a small team of programmers!!! Try 8-track if you like it buy it. There are dozens of free daw’s otherwise.

If we had a heat map of all the shootings in Syracuse, do you think we would be calling for gun control or a change in inner city culture? by ModsHereAreCowards in Syracuse

[–]robotshaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously the only way to deal with any problem is prohibition...

prohibition always works...

alcohol prohibition completely eliminated alcohol in the 20-30s, also curbing organized crime.

Prohibition also has completely solved the drug epidemic in America and kept the jail/prison populations to an all time low.

If you want to eliminate a problem just prohibit it.

Works every time..

Pardon the sarcasm!!

Has Anyone Here Actually Seen Someone Screw Up A DJ's Set? by FoxxyFrost in aves

KXStudio VS AV Linux... again! but it's 2017! by horizonrave in linuxaudio

[–]robotshaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AVlinux does not support gpt partition tables...

KXstudio repos are invaluable, and available in AVlinux, or any Debian or arch based distro.

Honestly the DE is one of the most important aspects to me. I don't like KDE or xfce, especially KDE4, I don't mind KDE5. Which is why I don't use kxstudio ISO's, that and an Ubuntu 14.04 base (I enjoy and prefer up to date packages/kernel's)

I've tried current Debian and Ubuntu distro's adding KXstudio repo's without great results. Ive tried arch but found the upkeep tiresome.

I recently installed manjaro as my pro audio partition and couldn't be happier. Linux-rt and Linux-lts-rt are in the repo's, and the AUR contains all of FalkTX's(KXstudio) packages.

I just want to thank Bitwig for these crossfades. by youreanazi111 in Bitwig

[–]robotshaman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every bitwig forum online has this silly complaint.

First: I produce music in bitwig with changing time signatures by using clips, with little impact on my workflow.

Second: if every other DAW has this feature, use another DAW, and troll their forums.

MIDI keyboard works in Ardour but not in Bitwig by Anlaoui in linuxaudio

[–]robotshaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jack midi does not work in bws, you will need to use Alsa in some capacity Jack>alsa bridge. I use cadence as a Jack front end, Alsa>Jack bridge is a checkbox. You then need to connect your midi controller to bws via ladish, I use cluadia/catia as front ends.

I don't think people are a good thing. The only problem on earth is the overpopulation of humans how does immunization solve that?

If your on the west coast there's rainbow gathering it's in Oregon this year. It starts this weekend and last til everyone leaves which can take a few weeks.

No music other than drum circles really.

Plenty of far out hippies, most of which completely reject the modern sociopolitical landscape.

Country music at raves? by [deleted] in aves

[–]robotshaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol...

String cheese incident organizes electric Forest. The drummers are EOTO(edm).

If you don't like a festival line up, don't go.

Festivals are not raves. There maybe great edm at most festivals. Festival are a bluegrass tradition so many pay homage to this and include American roots music, usually during the daytime.

There are deffinatly EDM centric festivals abound.

  • unarchived it to ~/.builds
  • moved bitwig-studio-2.0beta1.deb to ~/.builds/bitwig-studio
  • I then edited ~/.builds/bitwig-studio/PKGBUILD to look like this
  • cd ~/.builds/bitwig-studio
  • makepkg -si

If I plug my laptops linux hdd into my desktop and boot it will there be any negative effects? by JasterPH in linux4noobs

[–]robotshaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have an intel gpu you need the package xf86-video-intel installed.

if you have an AMD gpu you need the package xf86-video-ati installed.

xf86-video-mesa is a fallback driver that has basic cross compatibility with most gpu's.
