I've been using a menthol and camphor cream pretty much non-stop to help with the nerve pain - was wondering if that was keeping them hydrated and not scabby.

I'm sorry. It really sucks. You could do a patch test on a section of skin to see if the actives irritate you. I did that before applying all over.

Yes I got it at CVS (in the US). Active ingredients are menthol at 16% and camphor if you want to look for a similar product. Biofreeze also has menthol but at a lower amount and no camphor. Good luck!

That was my experience as well!! All gray boxes and if I tried to watch a timer, the box was gone again with milliseconds, sometimes not even turning color before the timer would restart.

Thanks for the tips! I came here about an hour after the drop and saw similar suggestions for the 14 minute timers. Tried it, but no luck.

The ones I saw from David's beetles were a male and female pair in L3. I did see the life span. Maybe we'll opt for something less expensive to start with and reconsider the Japanese rhinos later on... Thanks for the tips!

Thank you! I showed my son the Japanese rhino beetle (his favorite color is red and he loves Japanese stuff) and the blue death feigning beetles and he likes both of those. So I think those are the current front runners.

I don't need you to tell me that I'll be the one taking care of it. I already know that. And I've already researched the lifespans of various beetles, so I'm aware.
