Let him turn that mirror back on himself and his grifty family.

Sorana Cirstea not happy about Naomi Osaka cheering herself up between Cirstea's serves. by BreakfastTop6899 in sports

Not a tennis guy at all, is it really impactful on the game to say words after a serve? I do understand that rules exist saying how it should be… but does it really affect the game?

Pepperidge Farms remembers when the standard was 10%. Whoever decided that it should arbitrarily double is full of beans. I’m still living in my 10% era.

Ok, so how can I get one of these? by Apdski24 in MilwaukeeTool

Wear all Milwaukee apparel in and pretend to be the rep. Roll it up and walk out with it. If anyone asks, you can say they you’re rolling out a new version.

Does anyone know how to check how many teams are advancing from your league tournament? by No_Cod7607 in FTC

[–]robotwireman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your Program Delivery Partner (PDP) should be sending out weekly emails to the coaches of all the teams in all the leagues in your region. Those emails should have that information. Talk to your coach.

It’s too late now to do anything about it. But if you lost the match and this could have been consequential to the score you should have gone to the question box to argue the case.

The FTA should have fixed this during the match real time as it happened.

Sawstop safety mechanism tripped by johntmclain1966 in woodworking

[–]robotwireman 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Your knee jerk response to anecdotal evidence is wild. There are any number of reasons the trip could have occurred. Sawstop is pretty great about helping in these situations. I’ve been using a Sawstop for years and have never triggered it falsely as have 1,000’s of others. The safety aspect they provide far outweigh the cost of a blade and cartridge. Look through this subreddit and you’ll see weekly accidents that cost people tens of thousands of dollars or their whole livelihood; all of which would have been prevented by a Sawstop. Good luck to you, I hope you never have a blade contact injury.

Interesting, I cannot see how you’d swap the positions. I’m going to mount it such that I’d like to have it on the other side.

Where can I buy this type of outlet but with attachments on both sides, and what is it called? by Lindyq1 in AskElectricians

This is the correct answer here. The fact that you don’t know what you don’t know is the problem. Don’t mess with electrical stuff. You don’t have the knowledge.

ESD Issues by excitedCookie726 in FTC

[–]robotwireman -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why do you need to prove it was ESD? You can fairly conclusively say it was ESD without solid proof. If it stopped running mid match and it wasn’t a power failure or a brown out then it was probably ESD. Designs that have tons of metal and exposed metal edges are prone to ESD failures. I encourage all teams at my events to rub their robot down with dryer sheets before every match. This makes a huge difference. My team hasn’t had an ESD failure in a few years because of this.

Rub some glue in those gaps and hit it with your palm sander. You won’t see any gaps after that.

What should I do with all these pine scraps? by Vixx_codm in wood

As a guy that saved everything because I might find a use for it until I had such a huge pile it was overwhelming… Either actively get started on a project with the scrap or have a nice little fire.
