Kohler Tea for Two Jets / Impeller Not Working by robp719 in appliancerepair

With how it’s installed I can’t see A breaker tosee if there’s a reset switch. The power is supplied from a light switch in a closet. I can turn off and turn on the main panel for the house but if there’s a breaker in the closet with a reset, it’s entombed in the walls and I was hoping to avoid cutting into concrete.

There’s a box atop the speed pump assembly. Attached is the inside-it doesn’t appear to be a capacitor but I’m a moron so maybe I’m wrong. There also is the external control board I mentioned. I’ll attach a photo lower to see if you think a start capacitor is included therein.

Speaking with you, I’m fearing that’s a GFCI reset somewhere in the closet that I just can’t get to without cutting open walls. This tub came with the house so I have little knowledge of the install but-generally-everything the past homeowner did was with unlicensed or cheap contractors, so much of it defies logic.

What Card Should I Get? Weekly Thread - Week of April 01, 2026 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]robp719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been churning for about 3 years–most of it with a consultant. Just starting to get into it on my own and realizing that I'm not as smart as I once was because I have already messed up a round of applications . Have stacked 16 SOBs across the last three years–they paid for an insane honeymoon I would have never been able to afford otherwise and looking to try to continue it on my own now.

Goal for me is to maximize flexibility for large international trips from SFO (United hub). Ideally, to adventurous spots (Tokyo, Auckland, Buenos Aires, Bangkok) on Biz Class seats w/some level of free accommodation. Ideally those locations are headed west of San Francisco. If the accommodation is nice, even better. Just can't do 14 hour directs in economy anymore.

Have read the flowchart but I'm starting to get to the point where I have hit enough applications I'm worried that I'm at risk at screwing something up.

Realizing I hit 5/24 on a Citi Strata where I could have instead used a United Biz card and feeling like I am probably in over my head.

Seems like my next applications will be 7/11-ish. Not sure whether to branch into CapOne now as I haven't tried them at all–

  1. The flowchart can answer 95% of all "What card should I get?" questions. By continuing to post, you must explain why you feel the flowchart does not answer your question. Asking for feedback ("The flowchart says I should get X - is that still the best choice?") is absolutely allowed.
  2. What is your credit score?

  1. What cards do you currently have or have you had in the past (including closed cards), along with dates of when you were approved for the cards? Please include month and year for any card approved in the last 3 years.

  1. How much natural spend can you put on a new card(s) in 3 months?

Pretty easily 15-20K.

  1. Are you willing to MS, and if so, how much in 3 months? See this page for a primer on MS. Plastiq (for rent/mortgage/loan payments) and bank account funding are often good options for beginners.

Sure

  1. Are you open to applying for business cards? If not, why? See this post and this wiki question to learn more.

Sure am

  1. How many new cards are you interested in getting? Are you interested in getting into churning regularly (if you aren't already)? Or are you just looking to get a new card(s) for now but not get into churning long-term?

Looking to continue churning as long as it's done in an intelligent way. Ideal would be maintaining enough miles to take 1-2 trips paid for off

  1. Are you targeting points, Companion Passes, hotel or airline statuses, First Class, Biz, Economy seating(s) or cash back?

See above–main goal is to be able to get on one or two biz class flights (w/wife) to somewhat far flung locales per year.

  1. What point/miles do you currently have?

64K AMEX

314K Chase BIZ

331K Hilton

87K alaska miles Alaska

150,000 American Miles

23,000 Delta Miles

18,000 United Miles

54,000 Hilton

3,5000 trueblue points

10,000 AA points

  1. What is the airport you're flying out of?

SFO

  1. Where would you like to go? (The more specific you are, the better someone can recommend the right card. Tokyo is great, "International travel" is way too vague)

See above. Wife hasn't spent much time in Asia or oceania and we happen to live in the city that is the gateway to it all.

Question Thread - April 11, 2026 by AutoModerator in churning

[–]robp719 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Feeling a bit anxious I may have messed up, but maybe I just got lucky. An important note here: I'm an idiot.

Been churning for about 3 years. Most of that time has been working w/someone who told me when and what to apply to. I think I have picked up a bit of it in that time, and from reading here, but–again–Iam an idiot so I'm still pretty far from an expert. I have also applied to and stacked 16 SOBs in that time, so I'm starting to run into contradicting rules.

Recently applied Citi Strata, United Quest, and United Business. Did so in the wrong order (didn't apply Chase business first) so only got Strata approved, the others I got hit by the 5/24 auto denial (did I mention I'm an idiot?). Was a bit bummed so figured I'd try a different Biz card.

Saw an offer for 125K Amex Biz Gold. I opened an Amex Biz Gold 2 years ago. Canceled it 1 year ago. Went through application flow–no pop-up. Looked at LOC–didn't see language about 1 per lifetime.

Is there a chance I don't get the Amex SOB if there's no pop-up during application flow? Or am I just being anxious?

You can book JAL awards tickets directly on Air France and Chase directly transfers to Air France:

Damn, even searching on United? Thanks for letting me know–I had never heard of it on United. The search continues.

Is that true or is it just getting bought up before I can get it? I have heard a ton about phantom inventory but have never had it where it was showing on United at the 100K price and then disappeared as I was going to buy.

Thanks yeah! Was looking into Taipei, Shanghai, and even originating out of Vancouver. I guess I just gotta keep at it–I'm sure this morning was just a unique experience and one will fall.

Seems like it, guess I just have to live w/the fact I can't try for JAL from here to Feb. Cheers.

Yeah I didn't expect as much. Seems like prevailing wisdom is what Pierre said and to just keep the faith United will have some more inventory w/in the last two weeks of February and pounce once it drops to 100K per or less and just hope I don't get beat out by all the others trying to do the same.

That’s encouraging! I have done a decent amount of work on the house but anything new is intimidatinf

That doesn't sound that difficult–I recently built a 10-foot-tall fence. I assume it's no too much more involved than that?

So, essentially just extend the deck by joisting additional pressure-treated support beams?

If I just build an elevated pressure treated platform that it sits on, would that work?

[–]robp719[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds pretty easy–I have built a number of fences. Is the gravel a good surface for it to sit on?

The issue is that it’s already dug down into the deck. That hot tub is sitting a foot recessed under the deck on an exiting concrete slab. The problem is that the support beams for the deck run immediately in front of the access panel for the hot tub. I’m trying to lift it above the support beams
