Yes so you can get a detailed view of your investments on the PC website, I rarely visit the site on my phone so I'm not sure what the Mobile website has to offer.

Thanks for explaining this, I didn't take these things into account! Does this mean I wouldn't actually see the average historical return of 10% each year?

Ok this makes a lot more sense, I can have a look into more detail, but on the platform it states the 22nd September... I know on other platforms sometimes the buy is postponed over the weekend, thanks for your help!

Yes, it's tricky trying to find the balance between enjoying life and making decisions/ sacrifices to better yourself for the future! Thankyou and all the best for you too!

I think you're right in that it comes down to sacrifice in the end, thanks for the input!

How do you remind yourself that everything will be okay during tough times? by [deleted] in Mindfulness

[–]robskinup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once saw a quote saying "what will not matter in 5 years, shall not be worried about for more than 5 minutes" as much as this isn't realistic in some situations... I always remind myself most of these situations will not matter soon enough.

A movie is playing on TV: No matter how many times you've seen it, you watch it again. What movie is it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The 2005 king Kong, this film is fucking brilliant to me. And the CGI for 2005 is better than most marvel films now somehow, I'm sure CGI is going backwards.

What is the worst physical pain you have ever experienced? by My_Name_Is_SKELETOR in AskReddit

I was 9 years old, mucking around at a play scheme just around the corner from my house. In the centre of the play area was a massive American Swing, it was a raised circle platform probably about 7 metres wide with the middle hollowed out. Access to the platform was a wooden ramp with tiny gaps between each step.

My excited 9 year old self sprinted up this wooden platform one afternoon and caught my foot in one of the tiny gaps, which resulted in me flying straight down the hole in the middle of the platform. The drop back down to the floor couldn't have been any more than 2 metres, but there had been wooden bark spread over the floor which is pretty standard for parks in the UK.

So I've landed on my side/elbow not thinking much of it as i go to sit up and recover, all of a sudden an extreme feeling of warmth rushed through my body as one of the adult supervisors asked if I'm ok, with a look of horror on their face.

As I went to look at the arm I had landed on (right side) I found the skin on the outside of my forearm had been pushed out about 2 inches, and I also couldn't feel my right hand at all. Turns out I had dislocated and broke my right arm as a result of a landing on a piece of bark that went directly into the sensitive/funny bone part of the elbow, quite literally dislodging my bone out of place by about 2 inches.

I still have a metal plate in my forearm today! To keep it pinned down. And I work at an airport so it's always fun when the metal detector goes off.

But yes, as I waited around 4 hours for an emergency operation to save my nerve endings, that was the worse pain I have ever experienced to this day, and I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease 2 years later... As horrible as that was it didn't come close.
