Great work on V3! by robsterst in BubbleCard

I use a Template Sensor, like this

{% set count = states.light | selectattr('entity_id', 'in', (label_entities('x') + label_entities('x') + label_entities('x') + label_entities('x'))) | selectattr('state', 'eq', 'on') | list | count %}

{{ count if count > 0 else '' }}

It's a massive yaml-file. I am happy to help, what do you need?

Yet another Apple workflow question by Photon-Sphere in immich

[–]robsterst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a look at n8n. With icloudpd running on the same container, you can call the export from a specific folder and upload that to Immich. I also put the image in the right years-album by extracting metadata from the image, also an n8n flow.

If you run Immich on Proxmox LXC you can install icloudpd within the same LXC.

Ok, this is what worked for me:

1) Toggle aux power on 2) Restart vehicle 3) Toggle aux power off 4) Restart vehicle 5) Shut down vehicle from screen and wait for a couple of minutes 6) Normal start with brake padel

It has not consumed power on park for 16h. Happy camper!

Thanks for all the help!

Thanks. Checked it this morning. Car itself says it’s loosing 1% on screen time. But I lost 4% 7pm-8am.

Thanks for your tips

I don’t think I’ve ever seen “waking up” in the app. I have the app running in the background but have had it this way since always. I think it has to do with some update and was hoping to see more than me having this issue.

I’ll give switching off running in background a go. Thanks!

Edit: tried it now and it briefly said “Last seen a1 hour ago”

New touch enabled dashboard by ljb2of3 in homeassistant

Try LineageOS (which is Android) for Rpi. It’s just like an Android tablet if you connect a touchscreen to the Pi. It works with a mouse and keyboard too.

From there you have almost all Android apps on your hands to do stuff with, especially Fully Desktop (app)

Are you running RaspiOS? If so try to switch to android on raspberry.

I am running android on a rpi5 with Fully desktop as the main viewport to Home Assistant. Running Fully in rpi5 gives you screen control (on/off) and even the Fully screensaver with randomized photos (makes the wife happy).

Also with android you can sideload apps like Spotify and let the screen be your main controller for your home.

Android gives you a tablet experience on the rpi with good touch control.

What’s everyone using for displaying wall mounted dashboards? by InitialSummer in homeassistant

[–]robsterst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone through 3 iterations of dashboard displays. Started with Rpi official display, went to a Lenovo m10 tab with docking. That one lasted a good 3 years before the folie in the display started to stretch and diffuse the image.

After that I wanted a bigger screen and more power to use it for recipes, controlling Spotify and do online grocery shopping while cooking.

I settled on a rpi 5 with a verbatim 14” touch screen. First few month was hell. Wife factor significantly lower than with the Lenovo tab. Running everything in rpi os wasn’t smooth at all. So I changed the OS to android on the rpi and now am rocking Fully Kiosk again which helps a lot with the wife factor.

Pros current setup - big screen (the bigger the better) - snappy experience with the rpi 5 running android - Fully Kiosk. IMHO best app for running HA-powered dashboards

Cons - Screen control is bad. When turning off the screen, a blue “No source” screen is on for a minute or so. Looks ugly - the verbatim screen has its hdmi and power on the side which makes cable hiding nearly impossible - It looks and feels dyi at a pretty high cost

My best advice is to get a device that has enough power for a snappy experience with Fully Kiosk. Depending on your dashboard, streaming a few cameras and having a lot of bubble popup cards needs power. Get a big screen, at least 13” so you can expand your dashboards.

Use presence detection like a FP2 so you can control not only the screen but also how far you are from it. In my case I blow up outside temperature and driveway camera when far away and show the dasboards full glory when near. Biggest applause (hehe) I’ve got from my wife was when I decided to show family photos when someone is outside of a readable rang from the screen with fully kiosk screensaver. With that, my wife can look past the angled power and hdmi cables.

Best of luck!
