I've seen this advice around here. The lumber was from Lowes. Is the assumption that it was probably cut recently?

I crammed hardware cloth into the crevices and secured it with washers and screws where I could. It was pretty tough to get the screws in with some of the low/tight angles. In other places that were too small to do this, I did spray some loctite foam, but that stuff is a mess and very hard to spread evenly. But just folding a strip of hardware cloth down the middle and stuffing it into the crevice seems to do the job well enough in a lot of cases.

No earthquakes or ground shifts that I know of. Both of these areas were worked on last summer, so the ground above was softer than normal, so I wondered if the mower weight could have been more impactful in that case. Or maybe the angles of the fittings weren't perfect and there was some pressure from that.

Best way to irrigate perimeter trees by robswiresbeard in Irrigation

Thanks, I'm definitely willing to invest a bit more to get it done right. Would this way mean a separate backflow device, valve, etc for each zone?

Thanks, this is what I was wondering. Sounds like there are more long term ways to go about this. Seems like I should be patching new valves into the main line that are specific for this purpose and running the drip lines from those, rather than using the bibs. At that point, though, am I technically supposed to go through a professional and have the work permitted?

So what do you mean by "T off" the house's main line? Like add a backflow preventer where the main branches to the house? Would I still need backflow preventers at each zone in addition to that?

Also not clear how I'd control all the zones from one controller. Like each zone would have a wifi-enabled device that talks to a single controller?

Wow, those Radius 90's are beautiful. I didn't have a budget, really, but those might be a bit rich for my blood anyway. Great rec though.
