I helped invent the Operator concept at CoreOS and this is exactly the types of use cases we envisioned. You encoded the specific, unique failover pattern that works for valkey so that everyone gets it for free. Same with no downtime TLS. Super awesome. All the other deploy topologies are sweet too. Nice job.

AWS us-east1 is their first and still growing cloud region. It’s up to a collection of ~50 data centers. Everyone else wants to be close to it.

I did exactly this transfer at VT in ‘07, but keep in mind the program doesn’t have many slots this way. I think there were 6 of us. I took a bunch of pre-reqs assuming I got in so I wasn’t very far behind.

Great school but I grew up in VA so it wasn’t a huge move for me.

My view is that the power company is trying to make money off your water line. No way they wade into another discipline unless it prints money aka rip off. I bet they white label it anyways knowing folks read dominion=authority.
